About

mypacing grew out of a very personal experience: my wife lives with Long COVID and PEM (Post-Exertional Malaise) — the condition where even small efforts can trigger days-long setbacks. This app is what came out of trying to make her daily exertion limit tangible. WHAT THE APP DOES mypacing connects automatically to Apple Health and reads resting heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), sleep, and activity — without you having to export or upload anything yourself. It works just as well without a wearable: a short daily check-in (how you're feeling, sleep quality, optionally resting heart rate) is enough as a basis. From this, mypacing calculates your exertion battery every day — an estimate of how much is realistically manageable today, compared with your own average over the past six months. A calendar shows how you've been doing over the month at a glance; marking crash days helps reveal your personal warning-sign pattern over time. For everyday use: a home screen/lock screen widget with your current status, an optional Face ID lock for the app, and sign-in with your Apple Account. WHAT mypacing IS NOT mypacing is not a medical device, does not provide a diagnosis, and does not replace medical advice. The exertion battery is a statistical estimate, not a prediction — it can't reliably announce crashes in advance, only make patterns visible over time. Your own sense of your body always remains the most important signal. For health concerns, please consult a medical professional. PRIVACY Health data is especially sensitive (Art. 9 GDPR). mypacing only processes it with your explicit consent, encrypted and for a specific purpose. You can view and permanently delete everything at any time. Your data is never sold, never used for advertising, and never shared with insurers, employers, or authorities. If you'd like, you can voluntarily contribute anonymized data toward shared research on exertion limits — this always stays optional. FREE mypacing is a private passion project, free forever, funded at most through voluntary donations. No subscription, no ads, no selling your data. MORE ON THE WEBSITE At mypacing.app you'll also find a guided stand test for your doctor's appointment, support for additional wearables (Garmin, Oura, Withings, Polar, and others), and a knowledge base on pacing, PEM, and POTS. Stay at your own pace.
