About

Your passwords stay on your device — not on our servers. MyPassword seals every record with AES-256-GCM before it touches the disk. Your master password never leaves your device: it only wraps a randomly generated vault key, and it is never uploaded or stored. We cannot read your data, because the design makes it impossible. LOCAL-FIRST Your secrets live in an encrypted SQLite database on your device. Everything works fully offline. END-TO-END ENCRYPTED SYNC Turn on iCloud sync and encrypted records travel through your own private CloudKit database. Every byte that reaches the cloud is already ciphertext. If the same record is edited on two devices, both versions are shown side by side and you decide which to keep. A RECOVERY KEY AS YOUR BACKSTOP A one-time recovery key is generated when you create your vault. Keep it offline — if you ever forget your master password, it is your way back in. Changing your master password only re-wraps the vault key, so nothing is re-encrypted. PRIVACY IN EVERY DETAIL • Values stay masked — hold to reveal on iPhone, click to reveal on Mac • Locks when the app leaves the foreground; on Mac, after five idle minutes and instantly on sleep or screen lock • Privacy shielding when the app goes to the background • The clipboard clears itself after a copy • Deleting asks twice • No ads, no tracking, no account to create FAST AND MINIMAL Built natively for iPhone and Mac. Instant launch, instant search, one-tap copy. Unlock with Face ID or Touch ID. CSV import and export when you need to move in or keep a backup. A NOTE FROM THE DEVELOPER I built MyPassword for myself. I wanted somewhere to keep my own keys and tokens without handing them to a company, so I wrote the app I wanted to use. It is free because it costs nothing to run — no servers, no accounts, no analytics — and because I did not build it to make money. Your data never reaches me, so there is nothing here to sell.
