Disappointed
Response from developer
I'm sorry to hear you're experiencing this. Just to clarify, the app has been completely free since launch. We've always provided full access at no cost—and as of our 5.7 release, this includes 27 exercises, all workout types, a new catalog, the WOD, free SmartBuild every 12 hours, and the focus feature, with only a single ad surfacing after your workout is fully complete. Because the tracking is done entirely on-device via your camera, elements like lighting or camera angle can occasionally cause missed reps. We've had over 115,000 reps successfully logged since release, so I'd love to help figure out what's throwing off the tracking in your setup. I'm actively working to make the app more robust, and your insights would be incredibly helpful. Please reach out to me at myfitcounts@gmail.com so we can get this sorted out!
Unfair, competition, and unreliable tracking not worth it
Response from developer
I hear your frustration, and I appreciate you taking the time to share this. I want to clear up the confusion regarding the final leaderboard standings. Currently, the leaderboard syncs when a workout is 'Finished.' This means sessions started days or weeks earlier can appear as a sudden jump in reps once submitted. While the reps are accurately tracked by the app, I realize this makes the final hours of a challenge feel unreliable which is why the April challenge is focused on active days over reps. I also recognize the perceived conflict of interest with the developer being on the leaderboard. To keep things 100% fair, I have opted to recuse myself from the March standings. Please reach out to me at myfitcounts@gmail.com. I'd like to review your logs and discuss the final standings with you directly so we can resolve this fairly for everyone involved.
