MySpeed Auto is a mobile tool that utilizes the Network Diagnostic Tool (NDT), an open-source API maintained by Measurement Lab (M-Lab), to measure network performance — including download speed, upload speed, latency, and packet loss. What sets MySpeed Auto apart is its automated testing feature, allowing users to: Set custom time intervals and number of test repetitions, Perform speed tests automatically in the background, Monitor connectivity changes over time without manual interaction. This makes the app ideal for users who want a hands-free, continuous assessment of network performance, and also supports research into user behavior and ease of use in automated testing environments. In addition, MySpeed Auto integrates a Geographical Information System (GIS) component, providing a visual map-based interface where users can view and contribute data about network performance across Malaysia.
