Boring!!
I really wanted to like this one because of the cat. He’s a wonderful companion with a great design and personality, and I expected him to be part of the gameplay throughout the adventure. Instead, he spends most of the game asleep or disappears altogether. It feels like a missed opportunity. Why introduce such a charming companion if you’re hardly going to use him?
The bigger problem is one that shows up in many Domini games. They mistake length for content. The game goes on and on, but very little actually changes. You wander through endless locations collecting random objects for arbitrary puzzles that don’t advance the story in any meaningful way. After a while, I honestly forgot what the mystery was supposed to be. That’s never a good sign in a mystery game.
A good hidden-object adventure should keep building the plot, introduce new ideas, and make you eager to discover what happens next. This one settles into a repetitive cycle of fetch quests, locks, and puzzles until everything starts to blur together. Instead of feeling immersed, I just felt like I was checking items off a list.
The artwork is attractive, and the cat deserved a starring role. If they had built more of the game around him and tightened the pacing by cutting several hours of repetitive gameplay, this could have been a much stronger adventure. As it stands, it’s another Domini game that is simply too long for the amount of actual story it tells.

Very disappointing
I was enjoying this game but in the bonus chapter it wouldn’t go further than saving Morty the cat, although he was saved, it wasn’t cleared from the tasks and couldn’t progress any further in the game.
Fun but…..
Stuck in the bonus chapter trying to hangout the paints to the stained glass window. Anyone else have this problem?

I would pay, maybe, $0.99 for this game. However, $6.99 is way too much. There are too many games available for free with ads.

I purchased this as the result of seeing an ad for it while playing Mystery Tales - Master. Played the trial, and liked it, despite noticing a few oddities. So I bought it, for the full price of $6.99. Here are the problems which cumulatively made it unplayable:
- two little boxes permanently on view on the upper left, a blue one which says “AutoTest,” and a red one which says “AutoStep”.
- the games have no instructions, nor do they have the ability to be reset
- What finally made me give up, though I had struggled through to the Labyrinth, is that in playing the HOP which has the oversized objects I was left with one unfindable object. The Hint says there’s nothing left to be done there, but it’s clearly showing the shape of something left to be found. The Strategy Guide says it’s a hairpin, and I will need it in the next scene.
I gave up at that point. I have yet to play a Domini Game which doesn’t have some kind of glitch, but I thought it was because they were old games that I was buying at a discount. This is obviously a new one, though. These are ridiculous problems, and I’m done with Domini. Why on earth would you release a clearly unfinished game at full price???

Liked the game, but the two test buttons in the top left corner are kind of annoying! Is there a way to get rid of them? I was hoping they would go away after I purchased the game but they did not.

So, I am updating my review after the Bug was fixed.
This was such a wonderful game. Every time, I thought the game was about to end, I would think wouldn’t it be great if they added this to the story. And it was added, making it a long game.

Mystery Tales: Til Death by LynxMinx
The quality assurance seems way better in this game, I’m happy to report. Plus I enjoy games of love gone wrong (and of course because it’s Oleg souls are being stolen, no surprise there!) The graphics are beautiful, the HO scenes are varied and I’m entertained by the storyline, hilarious Morty the cat, and the puzzles. This game was lengthy, the tasks were enjoyable to accomplish and I liked the puzzles/games. My actual rating will be 4.5 stars. I deducted only a half star because there were still some touchscreen sensitivity issues, and the game was at times slow to respond. For example, it took a few seconds for complex items to assemble and also on occasion I had to apply an inventory item more than once before it would work, although I was sure I was using the correct item. Since Domini does give us some unusual inventory usage, there are several things that might work, but I do usually know which item to utilize. This game was terrific, and I hope that we shall continue to see an elevated level of quality assurance.

They are supposedly not allowed to port to iOS in the American market, but they could if they used a distributor, such as Artifex Mundi or Oleg. I have repeatedly told Oleg to contact them. Why don’t you write to him? I can’t do this all by myself. If you wish to help me, write to me on the cloud. Everyone knows how to reach me!
If any of you still cannot purchase Abomination, and I cannot because it won’t restore my purchase, please write to Mad Head support and ask for an in-game update, like what we usually need from Oleg. I am furious that the update did not work for me!
