Awesome game with gameplay issues
This is a really cool recreation of Dominion.
I’m assuming there must not be that many users of the app, because there are issues that seem quite annoying for a mass-market audience to put up with.
For example, you start playing a game online and after 10-15 minutes, once your deck is starting to become beautiful, a nice deck engine has been built, and you are ready to reap the rewards of your efforts and go on an acquiring spree of constructs and…
the application shuts down and restarts.
No way to resume the previous game. No indication of anything, as if nothing happened and you just opened the app for the first time.
Dropped games are quite frustrating, I think that should be fixed first.
Also, when phone calls come in while playing a game, you won’t be able to recover game audio at all after your phone call ends, or even if you declined the call, no more game audio. You must restart the app to have game audio again. Have fun with no audio for the next 15 minutes of your game, or cut a game short to restart the app…
I can’t remember if this audio issue applies to both online games and non-online games.
Other than these issues and other similar quality issues.. it’s a pretty cool game/app, and I’m sure you’ll enjoy discovering all it has to offer. You can have a lot of fun without buying anything, though I chose to buy all of the expansions and that’s also fun.

Reasonably good but frustrating
I’ve been waiting for a Dominion app for years, but Mythical is a reasonable alternative. My only issues are 1) no confirmations before discarding Things from the Tray for cards like Pegasus, so I’m regularly tossing away cards I intend to use, and more importantly 2) with the various mechanics (e.g. Chill) added in the expansions, I can’t find an explanation of what they do anywhere prior to buying them in the game or on the company website, and I’m concerned there won’t be one after I buy an expansion, either. Any chance of just adding a Symbols chart under the ▶️ button that gives a one sentence description of each symbol? I could easily see myself buying all of the expansions eventually if the documentation is improved.

Game crashing
Looks nice, but game keeps crashing during the Tutorial so I am not sure how to play it. :/
Solid
Solid game. Very similar to Dominion, but with some neat elements utilizing the digital format.
Great Game, Poor Business Model
The graphics become charming and the structure for a great game is there. However it’s a true shame about the business model - 5 to 6 new cards costs $2 and they’re released often. There is the obvious ability to release more complete sets but it’s hard to continuity shell out money so consistently. I’d love to see more robust set releases.
I also feel like the “players” I’m matched with are bots... they all play at the same speed and there are maybe 7-10 rotating names. I play a few games here and there at all different times of the day and these same names keep coming up and I outrank them always. They also make silly moves like a poor AI and always seem to know if they purchase the last Construct card that they will lose. They will never buy the last Castle unless it’s a guaranteed victory. I also win an obscene amount of games which seems odd if I’m playing “players”
Overall there’s so much room here for something great but I’d caution the developer to:
- Explore a more robust or sustainable business model for users that make purchasing feel meaningful ran than paying for crumbs. I want to give you money - but your current model feels like robbery over time
- Clarify typography/symbols on cards and use more standard phrasing (why “pick” vs “draw”?)
- Transparency in online play, what rankings mean, and if I’m actually connected with players or just a ghost of their play.

Dominion Clone on the Surface, but Dig Deeper
This game starts as basically a clone of Dominion, which is cool since there’s no decent iOS Dominion app. However, there are “cards” that take advantage of the fact that this is an electronic game that you couldn’t do in Dominion on paper. I’d give it a full 5 stars if the graphics didn’t look like a 90s website.

Bad Copy
Usually “Dominion clone” is hyperbole, but here the whole rulebook and over half the cards are straight reskins. The cards that aren’t stolen are badly unbalanced. Unworthy of your support.
Dominion clone— and that’s a good thing
If you need a Dominion fix on iOS then this is your app.
If you’re not familiar with Dominion, it probably helps to give it a try before tackling this app, as it might be a bit much for beginners.

Dominion Clone
This game is essentially a clone of Dominion, nearly identical in all but superficial characteristics. Coins in dominion are now lands, victory point cards are now houses, action cards are now creatures.
We deserve better than uninspired copies.

Good Twist on Deck-building Games
Nice to play a deck-building game that takes advantage of being a computer game.
Great creature sounds too!
