Just one issue: offline maps
This is an extremely well thought through app with a clean UI. Some most useful features include a diary/journal mode which is perfect for worry-free geotagging photos with minimal penalty on battery and storage, as well as a clever short recording mode. However, the offline maps are raster type as explained in QA. I wasn’t able to make them work. Any attempt to zoom makes the map disappear and only hill shades are displayed at best. Is there a way to use a different (paid?) server for vector OS offline maps - for those who value this capability and are willing to pay a premium? Currently, I have to keep AllTrails/Komoot as a backup for offline use.

Speed graph freeze
When you pause the speed should go to zero, but clearly the app pauses all updates until it detects movement and so the graph sticks at whatever the speed was immediately prior to stopping.

Works good for garbage men
I use this app to keep track of my garbage routes. I pull it up side by side with the paper route map I’m given to see what streets I’ve finished / still need to go down. Works great for that
Darstellung
Die Darstellung der App mit den Funktinstasten rechts und unten links finde ich übertrieben groß. Sie nehmen zuviel von der eigentlichen wichtigen Ansicht weg. Bitte alle Tasten wieder unten anbringen, gerne auch so klein als möglich. So würden sich auch shortcuts schöner machen. Sonst finde ich sie für meine Dokumentation optimal.

myTracks now supports Shortcuts for starting and stopping recordings. For route work, the most important missing action is the ability to add a flag/waypoint/marker at the current GPS location from Shortcuts while a

I need to mark stops or events hands-free or with one tap, without opening the app. Existing route-tracking apps are too bloated, but myTracks already has the tracking simplicity right. Adding shortcut-accessible flags would make it much more useful for field work, deliveries, hauling routes, inspections, and similar real-world route logging.
Requested Shortcut actions:
* Add waypoint/flag at current location
* Add waypoint/flag with custom name
* Add waypoint/flag with dictated note
* Add waypoint/flag with preset category
* Optional: attach photo to current location marker
* Optional: return current recording status
* Optional: return current track name or ID

Just took a step backwards
I’ve been using this app for over 15 years for pretty much every walk/cycle I ever go on. Recently had a revamp and I guess I’ll get used to the changes, but the old version was cleaner and more compact. The graph of speed always displays in km/h regardless of settings; the axis labels change, but the scaling doesn’t.

Jetzt wird getestet :-) Für mich war es praktischer, OSM und AppleMaps getrennt hell bzw. dunkel einzustellen. Aber das ist nur eine Kleinigkeit.

Also, auch wenn der Cache geleert wird ist die OSM Karte bei weit nicht aktuell. Es fehlen geänderte POIs und auch vor Monate eingetragene Wege , Treppen usw.

Einfach Tracks aufzeichnen ohne viel Schnickschnack.
Edit v9.0.0: Leider kann mann zum Teilen der Dateien nicht mehr alles auswählen, und muss jeden Track einzeln markieren. Das sollte bitte nochmal nachgereicht werden.
Edit 9.2.0: Problem schnell gefixt und noch besser gestaltete Trackliste und Sharesheet dazubekommen. Vorschaugrafiken im Store zeigen noch die alte Version.

Das „Alles Auswählen“-Feature kommt in Kürze zurück. Das ist bei der neuen Version leider irgendwie unter die Räder gekommen.
Verbesserte Darstellung und Support
Ich verwende die App schon seit Jahren und bin sehr zufrieden damit. Mit der v9 kam das Update im Zusammenhang mit Liquid Glass und geänderter Bedienerführung. Die Darstellung ist nun auch wieder für iPhone 13/15 Pro im Querformat prima.
Der Support ist klasse, auf Fragen wird geantwortet, Wünsche werden nach Möglichkeit berücksichtigt. Das finde ich selten! Alle Daumen hoch!

Superbe application
Déjà très content de l’application, l’occasion du redesign est l’occasion de rafraîchir mon avis 5 étoiles fait… il y a 7 ans. Je renouvelle : ça vaut les 5 étoiles. Notamment, le mode journal pour tracker des vacances… puis tagguer les photos, est impeccable.

Dieses Update ist sehr gut gelungen! My Tracks ist dadurch deutlich übersichtlicher geworden. Ein kleiner Kritikpunkt bleibt jedoch: der Speicherort der aufgezeichneten Tracks. Es wäre schön, wenn diese nicht in einer versteckten Partition des Cloud-Speichers abgelegt würden. Ein frei wählbarer Speicherort würde das Sichern und Einbinden in andere Apps erheblich vereinfachen. Dennoch bleibt die App für mich die erste Wahl beim Aufzeichnen!

Don’t pause
If you pause a recording and restart later, myTracks doesn’t remove the paused section which makes a mockery of your statistics. Distance travelled and time taken should be removed from the GPX file. Only 2 stars for this.

I’ve been using this app for many years now. It does what I want it to do, tracking, recording. It gives me an off-line OSM. And, most importantly, IT DOESN’T EXPLOIT MY DATA.
My only request: a pro version with all the premium functions. I don’t do in-app purchases, but I don’t mind paying more for the app.
