I have been catching Brisbane busses for 3 years now for my daily commute to and from school. I have downloaded this app for when I miss the bus or need to get to have a different start/end location. I have recently downloaded the new app, which I have to say… is horrible. With some updates to this app, it could be made better. Adding some new features and making old ones better is a whole lot easier than creating an entirely new app. Everyone is used to this app, though slightly annoying at times. Moving to a different app is stupid and a waste of time, money and resources. Please keep this app!! The new one is hard to use and is definitely NOT better than this app!!!

Bad data
The functionally of the app is actually pretty good. Unfortunately it is let down by the quality of the information. Have had train times departing before indicated time on the app and services listed as not running when they actually are. Please fix this Translink.
Too clunky
Unreliable times show up and disappear on the app. When using the plan section of the app it takes you round about ways, for example if I followed the plan it would take one hour ten minutes to do a trip I can do in 30 minutes.
Useless
the app will sometimes just not show you busses that are far better options, tell you to get on a buss that terminates before it reaches where it said it was going, sometimes will, sometimes won’t show trains, and actual busses being late, even if only by a minute, can become incredibly frustrating, as you show up at a stop as your next bus is leaving.

This really needs to be brought into the current century. It is buggy and unreliable. The website itself is much more reliable.

Convoluted journey
The translink app is proving pretty useless at planning journeys. It keeps on suggesting three or even four connections where two would suffice. It’s taken half an hour to go over timetables and plan a reasonable rout.

DANGEROUS
The app refreshes and gets rid of your planned journey. I will be on the train, mid way through my journey and I will open my phone to double check which station I should be getting off at, and my trip has disappeared with no way to get it back. Do you have any idea how dangerous this is? I am a young woman travelling with my baby, and have missed stations/ ended up in completely the wrong area because of this. Screenshotting the trip isn’t a fix either, as I use the app to receive real time updates with where the bus/ train is and any updates as to whether something has been delayed. I can not describe how unbelievably dangerous and frankly negligent this is. This feature NEEDS TO BE FIXED before you risk someone’s safety like this again.

Please re-name the app
Pls re-name the app to “QLD TransLink”. Even the subtitle of the app does not mention Queensland. Really confusing for those of us who don’t live in QLD and who travel a lot and have lots of transit apps on our phones.

Terrible, it is time consuming, it is difficult, it is not easy and, if you want another option, well good luck with that. I need an app that’s easy not like this one I hate it, I now go to google to find the application (the old one) for my train/bus times, I travel by train/bus, have no car. Oh give me mercy and change the app please please.

You’ve ruined it
The citycat routes no longer show the direction of travel - the app use to flag if the ferry was headed towards Northshore or St Lucia - and now it doesn’t. Please fix this.

Bus drivers left me
The bus driver said there wasn’t room on the bus and left me stranded at school even though my friend, who were able to get on, called me and said the seats available on the bus.
