Needs update

The app crashes. Instead of displaying when charging will be finished, it just displays the current time regardless of what the SOC is. Endless notifications about faults in the system. I received a notification that the system was too cold to operate in 90 degree weather. This needs to be fixed.

Great App for Monitoring Volta Remotely

This is a very handy app that allows you to monitor your Volta system. I can check on the status from my phone within Bluetooth range of my camper van. Where it really shines though is its remote connectivity ability. By taking a phone I no longer use and setting up the Volta app on it, it can then send data to the Cloud and that allows me to use the Volta app on my primary phone to check the status from anywhere I have Internet access. It requires an Internet connection in your RV so the local phone can relay the Volta data to the cloud.

Very Buggy

As others have said, application crashes or loses connection. There is no reliable way to use this to monitor the health / stability of the Volta system. For a technology that costs the price of a basic car, it is unacceptable that in 2024 reliable application functionality is not present. If someone at Volta wishes to improve this, I would be happy to connect and allow diagnostic information to help them get to the root causes.

Still buggy

Unfortunately, It’s still crashing pretty regularly. And the time to complete charge generally shows the actual current time. Any chance we could get these issues resolved? Thank you!

Better than nothing. But needs some work

I have been using this app on my iphone/Imac for about a year with a Travato 59GL. App provides mostly pack temp and % battery charge. Crashes and locked up a lot until newer update. Better now. Would be better if you could turn the inverter on/off with the app. Better if the livegraph showing power over time would show start when the Volta system was turned on and not when you started the app. Each time you exit and enter the app, the graph starts over. So you get perhaps 2min of time to analyze. Would be great if wattage could show more. Solar in? Amoutn charge/discarge. Amount consumed. There could be much more this app could do.

Crashes often, and displays mismatched data

As other reviewers have noted, the latest version (2.0.3) of the app crashes (or just stops displaying updated data, requiring a force-quit and relaunch) often. Interestingly: when the app crashes while on the “Live View” version of the Power Flow graph it appears to be just the UI thread that dies; the app seems to continue accumulating data for some time after the UI goes away, which you can see after relaunching. Even more oddly is that the data displayed doesn’t seem to exactly match what’s shown on the Volta’s physical display (I have a Flex); the Power Flow figures never match (which you might be able to explain away with “different update intervals”) and the Pack Temp (which changes much more slowly) can differ by up to 2 degrees F.

It’s been a year since the last buggy/unstable version was released. Volta really needs to release a fixed stable version!

Practically useless

Doesn’t retain any history. Apps that are set to view the cloud data only aren’t notified when the app set to upload data has gone offline for whatever reason. Therefore, the history has frequent gaps because the uploading app crashed (another issue) or failed to maintain a connection to the Bluetooth module (yet another issue).

Zero error message indication or explanation.

Just a super low effort by Volta on this.

Great - when it works

My rv is parked next to my house. I can stand in my bathroom - the rv is right outside, and the app doesn’t connect. Then my power surge protector tells me the rv is disconnected when it’s not. It’s still charging. Please fix. Thank you. Volta is awesome.

Cloud service is a good idea, poor execution

Love the cloud service feature so I can monitor power levels when we’re away from our rig (this is how it should work in theory).
We leave an iPad plugged in with the app running and connected to Volta via Bluetooth. Cloud service recognizes the device for a few minutes. One the iPad, screen goes to “sleep”, causing Volta to no longer monitor via cloud. My suspicion is that this app is not running in the background as it should. Have checked the settings on iPad to make sure “allow background apps” is allowed. I see a recent developer response says it is fixed in 2.0.1, but unfortunately, it doesn’t appear to be the case. Would love a reliable way to monitor our power levels when away from our rig.

MyVolta app is fried

All of a sudden the app insists on transferring data without telling me from where to where or why. Cannot use the app while it is transferring data. Yet the app crashes before it can finish transferring and then starts over again. DO NOT USE THIS APP UNTIL IT IS FIXED AS IT JAMS ANS FREEZES YOUR PHONE.

Response from developer

We are sorry that you experienced this issue. The update to 2.0.1 fixes this.

Works well so far

Has been doing everything it’s designed to do so far, but really would appreciate the alert feature when it’s running low. I’m a little surprised the Volta system itself doesn’t have some kind of audible alert capability before it cuts off.

Unable to pair

Might be a great app but I'll never know since I can't connect. Near-infinite "Choose Your Volta Power System" screen, then unhelpful troubleshooting screen.

Drops Connection

I really want to love this app but it drops the connection constantly. At least reconnecting is easy, but still, it’s annoying.

Unable to do use app

Downloaded app. Have wifi connection.. have BT on both app and cell.. have attempted MULTIPLE times to pair with the Volta .. have been unsuccessful thus far

It would be nice if.. .

The app doesn’t indicate the SOC dial color. Adding that feature would be a nice improvement to the app for those of us using Volta systems in the extreme temps of winter in North and summer in South.

It would also be nice to have definitive information on on the color scheme (red and green) of the current wattage.

Not a bad app, opportunities for refinement and improvement.

Accurate, good start to connection

The apps works fine, a good summary of all critical operating parameters and charge condition. Would be great if if had connection through wifi/internet so you did not have to be in the RV to get the data. Seems to be bug free.

Over-hyped

Very little information gleaned from this app. You basically have to be in or right beside the van to get a Bluetooth connection. Does not work remotely. I found I need to close the app out and reopen each time or an error code results. No info on solar contribution. No alerts available to set.
