What's New in NaamAmrit
1.1.0
August 13, 2026
Say it hears you better. The speech counting now asks your device for an Indian-English voice model, which recognises naam like Ram far more reliably than the one it used before. If your device doesn't have that model, the app quietly falls back to the old one — nothing to set up. Your practice log is safer. • A sitting is written to your log the moment you finish it, instead of waiting for the next backup • A sitting interrupted by the phone closing the app is now remembered and added to your log the next time you open NaamAmrit • Sittings recorded at the same moment as a restore can no longer overwrite one another • A sealed dīkṣā naam no longer blocks the rest of your practice from backing up • Recent jaap on Insights now shows the latest ten, with a door to the rest Better with VoiceOver. • The Keep going and Finish buttons at the end of a sitting are reachable again • The count is announced once per naam, not twice • Say it now says aloud whether the mic is opening, listening or paused And a fix for a mic that could keep listening after you pressed Stop.
