No discovery, amp cound not be found, old version works without problems :-(

They will drop support for your device

I am not sure this is ethical - they advertise devices as “smart devices” that can be controlled by this app, but support is quickly dropped for older devices.

…additionally, NAD software is just very poor. Glitchy, almost never works, requires constant restarts.

Back in the day when NAD made straight forward amps that were not “smart devices”, they made good stuff. Those days are done.
