Update is mandatory
There's so many applications out there that doesn't require mandatory update, but those from Oman are really bad. They just have to make sure that you update because you know you never come back to this place unless you need to pay something. I hate this.

لما بدأت (حيا) في تصميم ونشر هذا التطبيق كان تطبيقا متقدما على كثير من التطبيقات الحكومية وعلى خدمات الكهرباء. ولما دمجت مع شركة نماء تقدمت خدمات الكهرباء وتخلفت خدمات الماء ورجعت للوراء سنوات! ولا أدري ما وظيفة تقنية المعلومات بالشركة والمطورون إن لم يقوموا بفحص هذا التطبيق ومعالجة مشاكله وتصميمه السيئ؟! أنا شخص محب وملم ومتابع ولكن يستفزني كثيرا هذا التطبيق ولا يرقى أن يكون بإسم عُمان. وعدمه أفضل من وجوده!

Seriously, what kind of pointless decision is this to add a “Verify you’re not a robot” step in an app just to pay a water bill?
What robot is out there trying to pay water bills? This only makes things harder and more frustrating for real users.
The app already had a poor user experience, and now you’ve somehow made it even worse.
Instead of adding unnecessary steps, focus on improving the speed, simplicity, and overall functionality of the app.
