Name Circle: Baby Names

Choosing a baby name is a big decision, and everyone has an opinion. Name Circle turns it into something you do together: parents and family vote in three simple rounds, and the name with the most support wins. Parents' votes count the most, and each parent gets a veto. HOW IT WORKS Round 1: Pick your top 10 Browse real U.S. baby names, save your favorites, and rank your ten best. Your first choice earns 10 points, your tenth earns 1. Round 2: Pick your top 5 The family's 15 highest-scoring names move on. See each one in full with your last name and a middle name, then choose your top 5. Round 3: Make your final choice The top 5 are the finalists. Everyone picks one, each parent can veto a name they really don't want, and Name Circle reveals the name with the most points across all three rounds. BUILT FOR FAMILIES • Parents' votes count in full. Family votes count for less, and you decide how much. • Don't know if it's a girl or a boy? Choose both. Everyone votes on girl names and boy names side by side, and you get a winner for each. • Everyone votes on their own phone, and results update live. • Get a notification when someone finishes a round, when the next round opens, and when the name is chosen. • Only parents can close a round, use a veto and reveal the winner. • With the full version, invite grandparents, siblings and friends with a link. They never pay. REAL NAME DATA • More than 75,000 names from U.S. Social Security Administration records. • A uniqueness score for every name, based on how many babies received it in the most recent year. • See when each name peaked and where it ranks over the last 100 years. • Browse the top names of each of the last 10 years, or go back by decade to 1970. • Filter by uniqueness, starting letter, length, rising or fading names, and names used for both boys and girls. • Can't find a name? Add your own. FREE TO START The free version has everything two parents need to try it: all three rounds, the top 50 names of the latest year and of the last 100 years, 10 favorites, and one name of your own.
