Adding a new person and photo in GameShark
It is imopossible to add a photo of a new person. GameShark doe not open my camera, nor does it give me access to my photo library.
Don’t Pay
The sharing option that you have to pay for does not work and there is zero response or any type of service to get your money back. The free part of the app would be great if it worked consistently, but it freezes up constantly when you want to enter a new name. The only advantage is you do have an easier time remembering people’s names because you have to REenter it 600 times into this app. LOL

Sharing NOT working and Lost $3.99
I wish I read the other reviews first before buying. Sharing does not work after paying $3.99 and also crashes all the time. Too bad because I would love this app… if it worked!

I love this app and I pay for it every year, but it doesn’t seem to be updating? I have submitted emails and assistance, but not hearing anything back. Would gladly change my rating if someone reached out to me and helped me with my purchase.
Was Once Great
This app used to be my go to for not only learning names, but also sharing it with members of my team. The sharing fearing was. hUGE prt of what made this app great. Unfortunately, that feature now has a glitch that makes sharing impossible. I have tried everything I can think of: I paid for the feature a couple years ago (and annual subscription) but now the app won't let me renew. When I tried going to the purchase screen, there's no option to purchase anymore and no way to undo it. It just won't work.
All in all, the main reason I started using the app in the first place is no longer a working feature. So sadly, I'm moving on. Thanks for that one good year, Name Shark. You were once great.

Don’t pay for sharing
I paid $4 to pay for the sharing option and it does not work. This app just took my money. There is nowhere in the app to contact anyone to ask for help. I tried logging out and back in and it still does not work. I am a teacher that was using this app to learn student names. $4 might not seem like a lot, but it’s wrong for an app to allow for this purchase and then not get what was promised. I wish I had read reviews prior to purchasing because it appears this has been a problem. Very disappointing!

Crashes when accessing Photos
When trying to access my photo album, the app continually crashes. Using iPhone 13, fully updated. Tried reinstalling the app, restarting the iPhone, and allowing full access to photos but to no avail. Disappointed… good concept though (if it would only work).
Group sharing not working
Don’t buy this app if you want to share as a group. It doesn’t work. App should be taken down from store since it charges you as if it does work.

Can’t share group and deleted data
I’ve had name shark for a few years for education and pay to share my groups. This is the second year I’ve not been able to share a group even though I pay for it. I tried logging out and logging back in but that didn’t work. I tried deleting the app and reinstalling, and when I signed back in, all my groups were gone. I cannot recover them. The support email doesn’t work. They haven’t updated the app in 7 years. Do not use! All your work and time can be lost!

A few glitches, but a GAME CHANGER!
I’m a high school teacher who struggled with learning names until I loaded their pictures and names in this app. The games and scoreboard actually make it fun. I found it would crash anytime I tried to load a picture from my phone’s photo album, so I just took pictures from my computer screen as I entered each name. It was actually easier than uploading them. Love this app!

Great free version but….
Paid for the sharing feature, but app would not let me share.
Needs a photo fix
Love the app. This has helped me significantly to remember groups of ppl. But I no longer can upload photos. Can you please check to see if there’s a bug? It access my photos but it automatically selects the last one I used and then the screen freezes. Additionally, the buttons at top of screen are not calibrated so you have to guess where the button will actually click on the screen.

Out of business?
I loved this app when it was working. I believe that the company must have give up on the app. I had the paid sharing version, and within the past few months the name creator website has gone down (no longer exists) and the sharing option won’t work anymore. Someone, please make another app like this! It was so good when it worked.

Please move OK button!
This is just what I was looking for but is so far unusable as I can’t click OK to save an entry as it is under the 4G/battery notification at top right of the screen on iPhone. I can only click cancel. Would love to use this is you can fix it.

Hi developers - if you’re listening - this is a great app when it works but it REALLY needs an update as it’s now quite buggy. I’ve used for years but it needs a refresh (lag time when uploading pictures, search capability, and the other errors listed in reviews). Please please put some time aside to refresh so I can return this to the 5 stars it deserves (and used to have). It’s such an amazing idea…just needs some TLC. UPDATED: Just looked at their website and it appears they are out of business? What a shame.
