Long time user. Honest domains
I’ve used many registrars before but I’ve now brought all my domains to Namecheap. They’re honest and easy to use.

Limited functionality
For a company as big and well known as namecheap to have such a weak app is kind of an embarrassment. You can’t pay via app if the domain has expired and is in grace. It doesn’t even show the coupon code at check out - it’s just like oh check back later.
Super weak.
Super weak.
Name Cheap
Le meilleur endroit pour achats et prix de Noms de Domaines
The most perfect app to buy and manage domains
I wouldn’t change a thing.
BACKUP CODES BROKEN, FIX IT!
I log in on website. Regenerate a backup code and copy it to my clipboard by clicking YOUR copy button.
Then I use apple handoff to transfer my clipboard to my apple device because YOUR FRIGGING APP DOESN'T SUPPORT 2FA "YET". Well, it has said "yet" for years now. Get on it lazy developers!
And to top it off, your own app refuses to accept the backup code and now my account is about to be locked if I can't guess how your incompetent software engineers parse whitespace.
Fix your PDF print of the backup code, too! It creates two columns but when you go to select them, the PDF has the columns in collated order! What a joke.

To the app devs: thank you I love you
NAMECHEAP FOR LIFE
Love NAMECHEAP. Godaddy is for scrubs!
Not secure
The app don’t support yubikeys despite their website supporting it. There’s no reason other than pure laziness for that. It’s not new and other apps have supported them for many years.
If they’re this lazy about login security what else on their platform is insecure? Looks like it’s time to find a new registrar that takes security seriously.

Horrible and not user friendly
First 2 minuets on the app and I can’t even create an account without having to leave the app. It’s saying it’s from Ukraine so now I feel like it’s a scam app. Very hard to use, I would stay away if you’re trying to create a business or store.
Great service great app
Been using name cheap for a few years now. It’s easy of use and features have been fantastic so far
Just used the app. Paid in Apple Pay. Stupid convenient and easy

Namecheap and quality
I’ve been with Namecheap for a long time we’re talking a couple decades. I’ve had some big snags, having purchased possibly over 10,000 domains but they’ve always walked me through it and the truth is the platform is one of the easiest to snag a domain fast.
Great app
Great app easy to use, good suggestions on domains, good value pricing for domains
I love Namecheap, but this app isn’t worth bothering with
*EDIT 4/23/2025: can confirm this app is still completely useless. Don’t be fooled by those glowing 5-star reviews that show on the store page… lol they honestly couldn’t be further from the truth given just how awful this app is. It’s almost impressive just how nonfunctional it is, especially compared to a simple PWA… Namecheap clearly only cares about it ticking that “we have a mobile iOS app” box for marketing.
I use Namecheap as they’re a great registrar & decided to check out their mobile app to have the option to manage things on the go—didn’t take long to realize that wasn’t going to happen when the app login doesn’t function at all. I don’t know exactly what the problem is but I suspect they need to iron out issues with their 2FA functionality; would be nice if they’d just get with the times by ditching their proprietary app and add support for 2FA via Duo/Authy/Google Authenticator/etc. Anyway, the app looked promising but is altogether useless in its current form—save yourself some time and wait until they hopefully/maybe revamp this sad excuse for an app.
