Namma bmtc
The Namma BMTC app is a very useful initiative for Bengaluru commuters. It helps in checking bus routes, timings, and basic journey planning, which is really helpful for daily travel. The idea of live tracking and centralized information is great and much needed for a city like Bangalore.
Doesn’t work half the time
I don’t know how they haven’t fixed the issues in this app even years after it’s been launched. The app doesn’t work most of the time, and even if it does, live tracking is unreliable and inaccurate. Do something about it!
Good Initiative
Eventhough timely it fails due to network issue on live tracking , generally we will get the time of the bus.
Amazing accurate App
It was recommended by my friend and when I started using it I was amazed to see how accurate the bus tracking and schedules are shown. Glad we have such a useful app! Very helpful!
Good initiative gone wrong
It’s a nice initiative by the gov but it lacks a lot it doesn’t live track correctly . And it refuses to to work after two months , we’ll have to re-install or else every queries answer will be NA all the time for all the routes journey planner ,etc.
Unreliable and Crashing – Needs Immediate Attention
The app needs serious improvement. It doesn’t function properly and has several issues. The bus tracking feature is highly unreliable—it only shows timings after 15 minutes and doesn’t provide accurate real-time updates.
I travel daily by bus number 345F, which is the only direct option for me. So I make sure to track it at least 20 minutes in advance. However, recently, the app keeps crashing the moment I try to track the bus. Because of this, I often miss the bus and end up taking three different buses to reach my destination, which is very inconvenient.
I request the government and concerned authorities to improve the Namma BMTC app, make it more stable, accurate, and user-friendly. It’s a very useful app when it works, but currently, it’s causing more trouble than help for daily commuters like me.

Useless app
Doesn’t boot up most of the time . When it does the features are not intuitive or don’t work . No wonder public transport is not preferred in this country . Few years back a kid had developed an app which was 100 times better but BMTC shut it down
Service unavailable/down most of the time
Please keep app up and running at least in week days
Frequent app crashes and highly unreliable
User interface is very complex and app crashes as soon as one tries tracking a route or try to get stops on the route. These are the basic functionalities of the app and even these do not work.
Zero optimisation
At least appoint me, I can optimise it for ios. App doesn’t even open, even after opening it doesn’t track and stop responding(it’s annoying when your’r hurry)
Need so many improvements
Good Initiative to have an application to track the buses, but the implementation was below average, I couldn’t get the search results as the application was continuously loading. Could be issue with the API response which is needed to be fixed
Most of the time app doesn’t work
Hi developers please look into the issue. This is a good app, but most of the time it doesn’t work to search the bus routes. It simply rotates in home page.

I never knew there was an app which gives a perfect live tracking of BMTC buses. Very much needed.
Not really good
Most of the time server is down don’t exactly know what the problem is but doesn’t update where the buses are most of the time people working late night are facing issues because they don’t know if they’ll get a bus or not but just hopping that they will get.

A good initiative to launch this app, but it fails in a lot of the basic stuff it’s expected to be able to do. Live tracking is not reliable at all and throws you off more often than actually helping you find a bus on time. Only decent at giving a ballpark figure for timings but Google Maps was already doing that fairly well. Bus routes aren’t properly listed either, with a bunch of separate listings for the same route which just ends up being confusing. The journey planner isn’t quite useful, with connecting buses more than 6 hours apart being listed as the best route. Being able to pay with UPI would obviously be a great addition, but that’s probably a long way away from being implemented.

Bus facility not available from Murgesh palya to Koramangala police station
From Murugeshpalya palya to koramanagala police station there is no bus facility.. we have to change 3 buses to reach the location…
The frequency of location update is aweful
The location update rate for buses is very bad, perhaps you can add a feature where if a person is riding on the bus, he or she can share his/her location that also can be incorporated after some validity checks.
