Not worth the money

Hard to follow. Doesn’t work when you don’t have cell service.

Of course, it only works when your phone is in a coverage area. The tour is 60 miles long. Most of the area is covered. In those areas not covered, the system waits till you get to the next covered area (where there are special locations to be talked about) and comes alive again, describing what is interesting. All the time, you can see where you are on the GPS map and how far to the next location to be described, which typically is not very far down the road. The quiet sections give you some time to talk about what you just saw, and to discuss where and when you want to stop for a snack and a wine tasting! PS: Most report that it is very easy to follow because you have turn-by-turn spoken directions, and the GPS map. We hope you will try again.

App does not work

I bought this app to take the guided tour around Sonoma and Napa. It kept giving me the message saying in order to activate the GPS I had to enable it in the settings. Everything was enabled and turned on but the app just kept giving me this message. So unfortunately I just had to make my own type without the app. $20 wasted. I wish there was a zero star option. I have reached out to the app developer but they never responded. I have now requested a refund from Apple.

Sorry that happened. We haven't received that complaint from others so not sure what is going on, but the team will look into it.

Cool GPS guided tour

My wife and I are planning a getaway now that things are starting to open up again, and both agreed on Napa as a destination. We were hoping there would be a GPS guided tour app as we like to go off the beaten path, and found this one! We like that it provides historical context, but is also entertaining with lively music, etc. which is more fun. Some self tour apps can be boring, but this has inspired us to get on the road. Thanks - we’ll let you know how it goes.

Entertaining, great value

My husband and I were surprised by how entertaining this was, from the narration and music to the historic insights along the way. We had been to Napa years ago, but experiencing it again at our own pace with all of these extras made it so much more enjoyable. Glad I found this. Great value and fun!

Worst app

I thought I could mark the wineries I wanted to hit, and it would guide but it has its own list and nothing to customize. And for a lousy $12 - ridiculous and rip off. Negative 5 star rating.

Dear Reviewer. It says very plainly in all the descriptions that the Napa and Sonoma App is a GPS guided tour. In a tour we lead the way. Webster defines a tour as “a journey for business, pleasure, or education involving a series of planned stops and ending at the staring point.” That is exactly what our guided tour does… it leads you on a journey. Why would you react so violently giving it a minus 5 rating and call it the “worse tour ever” when it is obvious that you didn’t even take the tour?! We would appreciate it if you would remove this unfair review from our app site. Thank you.
