Love local news
I love the register and am a supporter of local news. This app does it no favors. Images are impossible to view. No archives. Terrible search. Can’t find stories from the print edition.
Never downloaded it but I live in Napa

I just want to read the local news and stay connected to my community.
The ads work great. The content, not so much. It’s hard to find articles that I know are in the print version. Local news is hidden. Sponsored content is highlighted. Fake news rises to the top of search. And photo display is glitchy, if it works at all.
To expensive
I went to school at Pacific Union College back in the 1970’s & have been checking in with the Register to semi keep up with things in the Napa Valley. Today I was asked to pay $25/month for this privilege. This is way to much for an e-paper. $10 maybe but not $25. Oh well… one less paper to look at.

Useless
This used to be an ok app for news. However, it is now useless unless you subscribe/pay them. Too many free news options to pay for stories.

I can only assume you relied on high school interns to

Pain In The Neck
There’s just no excuse for not having the ability to read the app in landscape! Come on, Lee. Your future is digital. Start acting like it!
Poor Coverage
Unfortunately this app mirrors the local print version and provides so little local news and so few notices as to be almost worthless. Perhaps Nextdoor or another app will move into the news business and actually cover what’s going on in the Napa Valley.
Empty App
I’ve tried to download this app twice and both times there is no content. An empty and worthless app.

New formatting is not user friendly
There is no rhyme or reason to your formatting. Also yo can not search anymore! I needed to search for a date of death in obituaries for a family member and couldn’t. Also I wanted to search for any articles about the murder of a family member and couldn’t! Bad Carmaker NapaRegister you lost one building and me ed to a flood zone! Really!

There does not appear to be a way of searching for articles in the redesigned app.

Some of the headlines show up twice in the newsfeed. Also, the world and national news gets all mixed in with the local news. Also there is no way to see older articles like from the past few days. You have to do a search for them.
Disappointed
Crashes once open, worthless app.
Latest updates ruined it
Was a very good app. Recent updates have made it super buggy and almost unusable. Screen jumps all over, scroll doesn't work right, and simple navigation has all the sudden become a nightmare. Previously would have rated 5 stars

For the inside scoop on Napa. Local news, wine and food, events. Easy to navigate and regular updates.

Fast, reliable and up to date. Efficient app for a source into local braking news.
Meh
The register doesn't need ads, get rid of them. Logging in is a joke. Other than that, just needs some fine tuning. The face lift was much needed.
