A baby monitor that’s always with you!
A very convenient and smart baby monitor. Gives parents minutes of calm and reassurance on busy days with a newborn!
Free, private, AI-smart, cross-platform baby monitor
Naptio has become our go-to baby monitor on iPhone. It’s very easy: one device by the cot, another with us on the sofa or in bed. The picture is clear, the sound is reliable, and the AI notices crying and movement so we only get helpful alerts. It works cross-platform, keeps everything on our own devices, and it’s free, which makes it an easy choice for new parents.
As tech-savvy parents, we wanted a monitor that felt modern, private and flexible, not another camera tied to one brand or subscription. Naptio has been exactly that and it’s free. We use an old phone as the cot camera and our iPhones as viewers, and it takes under a minute to set up. No account, no cloud login, no fees: just open the app on both devices and follow a few simple steps.
We also love that it’s cross-platform. The other device doesn’t even have to be an Apple device, it can be a different phone or even a laptop, which is ideal for a mixed household or when grandparents help out.
The AI features are genuinely useful. Naptio notices crying, movement and big changes in how our baby is lying, so we only get alerts that actually matter. On top of that, you can train the audio model yourself and customise it to listen for different sounds: types of cries, coughing or anything important in your home. It feels like a monitor that adapts to your baby and your environment.
Privacy was a big reason we chose Naptio. There’s no account, no cloud video storage, and everything stays between our own devices at home. The “smart” bits happen on the devices themselves, which is exactly what we wanted.
Day to day it’s been reliable: low-delay video over Wi-Fi, clear sound, and a clean interface that even tired parents can handle at 3 a.m. It really feels like it was designed by people who understand both technology and real life with a baby.
If you care about privacy, like the idea of smart features you can actually control, and want something that works even when not everyone is on Apple devices – and is free – Naptio is very easy to recommend.
