Read to me
Why does the National Post have such a poor read to me feature the global mail basically will read every article to you with a good voice and very clear allocution. The National Post read to me feature is frankly a disaster and I can’t use it because it works so inconsistently and unsatisfactory.

Slower Than A Turtle
I much prefer the content of National Post but the loading of content is slower than a turtle. I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app several times and no change. The top sectional loads in a somewhat reasonable time (compared to a 256k modem) but the other sections below just show Loading Context. It’s painful. Financial Post is the same

Ads but no access
It is a well laid out right leaning news paper. Definitely not neutral. I watched a number of ads on the site but still don’t have access to any of the articles. I felt used.
No access to comments
Why should I subscribe. I want to support this paper but comments are blocked on the app. I need to go to Google news to view.
Frozen
This is the worst app on my phone. Often freezes, sometimes even the phone. I cancelled a subscription early 2024. A $20 offer for a year tempted a new subscription but alas - got what I paid for.
Home page resets to top, no indication of viewed articles
After reading an article and clicking the navigation arrow in the app to return to the previous home page, it always resets or automatically scrolls up to the top of the page instead of staying where I was in the feed. Annoying to have to scroll down through headlines to get back to where I was. Indication of previously read articles would be helpful.

It’s surprising to me that there is no search on the phone app. Also when I see an article on Twitter that I like and click on it for some reason, it doesn’t remember my username and password and I have to go to the app and find the article. Impossible. For a 21 century news organization this is unacceptable.

Brutal Customer Support
Can’t sign in to the app. Have sent multiple emails to “app support”, “customer service”, even “marketing”…no response from anyone. Paid my money, can’t fully use the app, can’t get a reply…nice business model. On top of that, the app layout is wretched and ads are riddled throughout. It’s a dog’s breakfast…what a mess.

Not good
App is very bulky. Seems like I’m on the national post website. Swipe controls are missing to go and forth on articles. Menu is too cluttered.

The paper is right biased but has good critical articles on a national level. The problem is that the app shows you many ads but you still are not permitted to read the articles without an account. Makes no sense.

This is definitely the worst news app I have ever used. It’s possibly the worst app I’ve ever used. I can’t read stories on it on either of my phones without it freezing my phone.
Bad App
I can’t sign it! It’s just a spinning wheel when I type in my email address. Contact form doesn’t work either
Deeply frustrating
This app frequently logs me out of my subscription, then tells me I don't have one, then randomly I regain access. How can you expect me to support this paper if I can't read what I pay for?
I want this app to be good
It’s got a fatal error where you cannot sign up. Every article requires you to be signed in but when you try, it fails. Had to delete it.

Most frustrating app ever.
Known issues for YEARS still not fixed.
Keeps asking over and over again to sign in. Then sign in, IF it even works, does not auto fill sign in credentials.
Redundant stories show up several times. News updates are very slow, especially on weekends where all they do is rearrange the order of the stories to make it appear there are changes

Very good app
Need better sharing abilities to share on your favorite plateform. You need to recopy manually the title of the article
