Best Sea Nav rules all on the AppStore!
Amazing app for any mariner! Question direct align with coast guard navigation books and is really helpful in not only passing tests but actually being a good mariner! My whole crew is required to use this app, it’s that good!
Best RoR resource
As an instructor of Rules of the road I find the app extremely accurate and easy to use. I recommend this app to all my students.
The best study tool for the USCG exam!
As a maritime professional, staying sharp on COLREGS is essential. This app is a major step up from the older, clunky apps that haven't been updated in years. The 'Focus Area' suggestions are a game-changer—it tracks my stats and tells me exactly which rules I need to review based on my previous mistakes. The explanations are clear and the progress tracking keeps me motivated. Highly recommended for any SWO or merchant mariner.

Great app
Super clear design compared to the other apps - love how it breaks down so you can do questions per each rule
Must have app for any mariner!
The best Rules of the Road app I’ve seen to date! It’s much better than any of the current, slightly outdated and not-so-user-friendly apps out there. It has your typical 50 question practice tests, as well as each individual section broken down, so you can practice on just the sections you need!
Simple USCG Rules of the Road Quiz App. Everything You Need
If you’re looking to practice USCG ROR questions, this is a great app. Even provides explanations for each question.
You can also export tests into PDF so you can send it to a Navigator for proof

Best way to learn nav rules
This app was way easier to learn ROR than the other nav apps
Best rules of the road app
By far the best app to study the COLREGS rules of the road. Perfect for SWO’s.
Essential kit for SWO qualification and bridge watchstanding
As a Surface Warfare Officer, the Rules of the Road aren't just something you memorize for a test—they are the bible for safe navigation. I wish I had this app when I was a JO studying for my SWO pin.
The depth of the question bank (1200+ questions) is impressive, but what really sets this app apart is the offline capability. Being able to drill 'Lights and Shapes' or 'Sound Signals' while strictly offline in the middle of the ocean is a game changer for shipboard life. The visual diagrams are crisp and actually help you visualize the aspect of the vessel, which is critical when you're standing OOD at night.
I also appreciate the specific citation of rule numbers in the explanations; it forces you to actually learn the source material rather than just memorizing answers. Whether you are prepping for your initial Rules of the Road exam or brushing up before a deployment, this is a must-have tool for the wardroom. Highly recommended.
