Decent with gaps

I was able to do most of what I wanted, but I found after much frustration that multi select properties are not actually supported. This should either be documented or fixed.

It could also really use syntax examples across the board.

They SNAILED IT!!!!

The Snailed it Team has got to be one of those diamonds in the rough….I have not found an app like this since Widgy in 2020.

But guess what, it’s actually multiple I found from the Snailed It Team. 🫡

These are the apps that are so underground but SO PRACTICAL.

THANK GOD, just like Widgy, extremely seasonably priced and they won’t kill you down the road w a subscription or anything along those lines either.

Nautomate, Toolbox Pro, Menu Box…. It is NOT JUST 1 APP from this team!!!

Really useful

There mihgt be a little learning curve, but after you get the hang of it, it's a really useful addition to Notion on iPhone/mac.

My ‘Go To’ for Notion Automation

The developers keep making this better and better and more solid with every update. Anytime I need a quick entry into Notion. I love making my own shortcuts and Nautomate makes this easy and fast.

Torture

If you enjoy assembling IKEA furniture, this is the app for you!

Good app with serious potential

After seeing the news of the original developer’s passing, I’ve taken down the original review and it’s first update, which was critical of the developer’s attention to the app without being aware of their health situation. It came off as insensitive – my sincerest apologies and condolences.
The original developer built something special here for heavy notion users who don’t have coding background but want to connect apps to their Notion pages. I still get frequent use out of this app, and once some of the lingering bugs get ironed out as well as the capabilities catch up to current Notion features, this tool will be a serious powerhouse. Thank you to the original developer, and I’m rooting for the current one(s).

A wonderful legacy

The developer left us all a gift and I am so grateful for this automation. Go into the app knowing that the deveoper passed away, I was expecting some things not to work. I am thoroughly impressed in what they were able to accomplish in Version 1. Using this every day!

New users: This requires some technical skill to set up. Following tutorials should set you on the right track, but don't leave a nasty review about not hearing back. Now you hopefully understand why. It's still better than nothing.

Developer has passed away

Updating my review as I have just read that the developer passed away.

This was a great application and hopefully it receives support again in the future.

Abandoned?

Shortcuts stopped working and Nautomate does not appear anymore in the "Connections" on the Notion web site.

Excellent, as others have stated, and now the rant

Giving a one star review after saying you liked the app, but don’t want to pay the £1 a month subscription, or less yearly, are you for real? How do you expect developers to live? Can you replace it for less than £1 a month? How much value do you place on the at least 20 minutes you would simply spend Googling for a replacement? Do you earn less than £3 an hour?

Sorry but this is too much. It’s an app built with care by one person. Complain, but don’t actively try to ruin their livelihood. These are not easy times and turning an app from 5 to 4 stars can make a big difference.

The Dev

I have no affiliation with this app, nor did I know the dev. I have no idea what the future will hold and if someone will take over development, but the dev passed away. I can understand being upset about there not being support to an app with a subscription, but hopefully this review will stop the “The developer needs to do better” type reviews.

Seems good but 1 star cause of subscription

These app seems good but I am sick to death of subscriptions sure it’s £10 a year in a vacuum that’s fine but it’s just yet another one on the pile. Please developers bring back one time purchases I would even be willing to pay more for that one off fee if you app is good.

Constantly breaks

Paid for premium and the shortcuts constantly fail to work. You can’t build shortcuts easily either because the integration that pulls your data se information is broken. Huge letdown

5 stars after figuring out how to fix it not working

What fixed it for me was changing the “Name” column back to “Name”, I changed mine to “Title” and that’s when it didn’t work. Figured this out after a long search and comment by a YouTuber Jordan Parker.

I don’t usually need support, just need a working app, and it’s just that for me! No other apps like it. So thank you!

API Out of Date

Shortcuts are failing on the Notion API calls

Powerful and Infinitely Useful

This app has been rock solid for over a year of hard use.

Good app, non-existent support

UPDATE: Dropping my rating from the original three stars to one. The title of the review still applies, so the rating update is purely reflective of the developer. Still no response to inquiries or messages, no twitter or blog updates on the app development status, and no updates on the app itself (a year has passed). It would be one thing if the app was a one time purchase, but this is a subscription based app. The developer needs to do better.

Original Review: Being a heavy Notion user, I immediately upgraded to the paid subscription and have gotten tremendous value out of this app. However, I’ve reached out to the developer a few times regarding troubleshooting and FAQ related issues, and have gotten zero responses back. I’ve tried the email listed on the website, the contact form, and twitter, but to no avail. I’d happily pay more money if it meant better (or at least existing) developer support, as well as more frequent builds of the app.

Response from developer

I’m not sure if you are aware, but the developer of this app sadly passed away a few weeks ago. We are in the process of keeping up the good work with a new developer. But there is a hiatus while that work is underway. Your understanding in the meantime is appreciated. Thank you.

Don’t bother - app doesn’t work

I tried some of the free functions and the paywall came up even though those functions show as free. So I upgraded to paid version and tried out some functions and it still doesn’t work. Except for creating a page on my database. Otherwise nothing else is working..

Doesn’t work, avoid

Like many others have reported, the app doesn’t work anymore. Save yourself trouble and don’t download this. The developer will not respond to support inquiries or issue refunds either.

Lifetime Subscription

I’m not sure if there is any automation that requires this app to communicate with a hosted server. If this is not the case and there are no ongoing costs beyond development I would really appreciate a lifetime subscription. I understand there was a lot of work put into this and i would like to support you as a developer but I can’t personally justify the ongoing monthly/annual cost just for communication with the notion api from shortcuts. Please introduce a reasonable lifetime purchase if feasible.
