About

NavTrail is built for off-road drivers and overlanders — forest roads, 4×4 trails, mountain expeditions, overland camping. Offline OpenStreetMap maps, turn-by-turn navigation with voice guidance, and a trusted community. Your account, tracks, and POIs sync across all your devices. IMPORTANT — NavTrail SOS is NOT an official emergency service. The SOS feature only sends a notification to other NavTrail users in your area (peer-to-peer). Messages are NOT delivered to police, ambulance, mountain rescue, or any official dispatcher. For medical emergencies or serious accidents, ALWAYS call 112 (or your local emergency number) BEFORE using NavTrail SOS. OFFLINE MAPS • Download OSM regions for use in airplane mode. • Four styles: Standard, Topographic, Overland (shaded relief), Satellite. • Cached tiles render automatically when you go offline. GPS TRACK RECORDING • Records in the background, screen on or off. • Export tracks as GPX, or import GPX from other apps and devices. • Open any saved track on the map with an elevation profile and stats. TURN-BY-TURN NAVIGATION • Voice-guided driving directions with a 3D follow camera. • Auto-reroute, snap-to-route, and one-tap re-centre. • Navigate to a POI, a search result, a saved track, or a convoy member. COMMUNITY POIs (camping, springs, viewpoints, refuges, tyre repair) • Add your own spots with descriptions. • See everything other users have placed nearby. • Community moderation: 3 unique reports auto-hide a POI. HAZARD REPORTS (4-hour lifetime) • Deep ruts, fallen trees, landslides, sheepdogs, barriers, bears, mud sections. • Real-time — others see them within seconds. • "Still here" confirms extend the lifetime; 3 reports auto-resolve. • Proximity alerts warn you as you approach an active hazard. COMMUNITY SOS • Choose the help you need (winch, mechanical, fuel, community medical assist). • Sends a push to nearby NavTrail users in your area. • See the disclaimer above — this does NOT replace 112. CONVOY (up to 12 vehicles) • Share a 6-character code to ride together. • See members' live positions on the map. • Background sharing uses the system location indicator — stop any time. OFF-ROAD DASHBOARD • Inclinometer with a vehicle silhouette (pitch & roll). • On-device barometer with storm alerts. • Tyre-pressure calculator per terrain type. PRIVACY • Anonymous sign-in — no email, password, or phone number required. • No ads, no analytics, no cross-app tracking. • Your location is shared only with your convoy members, and only while sharing is active. • Privacy policy: https://navtrail.app/privacy Contact: contact@navtrail.app Privacy: https://navtrail.app/privacy Content moderation: https://navtrail.app/moderation

Public tracks: discover routes other NavTrail users have published, nearest to you first, each with a picture of the route on the map. Save any of them into your own tracks with one tap. Publish your own tracks: add a difficulty, a description and photos. You can unpublish at any time. Share a published track with a link that shows the route's map right in the chat. Search a town, peak or pass to see the tracks around it. Report a track or block a user, from the track itself. Rename a saved track. Show as many tracks on the map as you like — the limit of 10 is gone. Map search now finds peaks and passes, not just streets and villages. The map opens on your own country when there is no GPS fix yet. Fixed: a rename, a colour or a folder change made right after signing in on a new phone is no longer lost.
