Currently perfect

I read a lot of novels so i also tried multiple apps for reading them. But most of them were paywalled so hard that you couldn’t read more than 15 chapters before being forced to pay in gems (translates to about 10 ct per chapter) which for a book with 2000 chapters is just not profitable. However this app does currently not have that kind of system. You can read for free and also create little libraries with your books. The mechanics of turning pages is not as perfected as it is in the Apple Books app but that’s just a negligible negativ. I would however Hope for two things: being able to turn the pages with the arrow keys (iPad keyboard) and that this app never becomes one of those money-grabbers.

Ads are out of control

Watched adds to get points to download for offline reading. Still get ads when reading offline content when wifi on. But other than that it’s good

Infuriating

I regularly get kicked out of my account and the app seems to delete it. After being kicked out whenever I try to log in again it fails. It also fails whenever I try to recover my password (which I try in case that was the reason for the initial failed log in). Every time this happens I have to create a new account and loose all my saved books and places of the books I’m currently reading. If this didn’t happen I would give the app 5/5 stars but since it does, it’s pointless and I’m likely going to delete and use a different website instead of novelbin or its app.

Loading

Everything was perfectly fine, however it suddenly stopped loading anything in the app and said retry your internet connection… the problem is that I have perfect internet connection.

Too many ads

I wish there was ad free version

Fix it

You need to fix your app I can’t edit my chapters on my published novel and the chapters keep scrambling themselves even though I ordered them

Ads non-stop!

The app is lovely looking but you can’t read two chapters without a multiple minutes long ad playing and potentially dropping you into a store only to start again if you accidentally exit. Too much bother with no option there make them stop.

Advertisements

Extremely pervasive advertising. How do the devs even expect you to read.

Trash App

The app doesn’t even take me to a Home Screen, it just opens up to a black screen and then closes itself instantly.

👍

I dont know why the rating is so low on this app i mean its not perfect but i dont think it deserves 2.3 stars overall so im giving 5 to hopefully boost its rating even if just a little :D

Issues with audio

The app is ok. Interface is user friendly. The audio integration has issues: Bluetooth, Apple car play, AirPods controls - all broken.

Not supported in country

Hi so I’ve been using this app for the past 1-2 yrs and it’s been working fine but last week onwards it started not opening and saying app not supported in your country I live in Australia plz fix it

Don’t ruin the website

The forced pop up blocking my usual browser experience isn’t something I’m willing to cop. If the app wasn’t shoved down my throat to choke on I wouldn’t mind it. Also the app isn’t good enough to be better than the browser.

first review

This is my first ever review so i’ll keep it simple, the app is good no i am not a bot and no you won’t be “hacked” and no you don’t need to add your credit card info.

Color background

Please add back the choice to pick the hex code for the color background. It makes it alot more unique

(Updated )Honest review

NB Reader is a decent app overall, but it comes with a mix of great features and some major red flags. If you are considering using this app, here is a complete breakdown of the good, the bad, and the costly.
The Good Things
* Massive Library: They feature a large catalog of books sourced directly from Webnovel and various other websites.
* TTS (Text-to-Speech) Capability: It offers plenty of voices to choose from. It appears to utilize your phone’s built-in TTS system, giving you a solid variety of narration options.
* Improved Interface: The UI has been significantly upgraded. It is much easier to navigate, browse, and search for the exact novel you want (though you might occasionally run into an empty novel cover thumbnail).
* The iOS Advantage: If you are an Apple/iOS user, this might actually be your best bet right now, simply because this app currently boasts the largest selection of novels compared to competing apps on the App Store.
The Red Flags
* Random, Interruptive Ads: The ads pop up randomly throughout your reading experience. They appear frequently enough to easily notice and disrupt your flow.
* Immersion-Breaking TTS Pauses: There is a noticeable pause at every single line break when using the Text-to-Speech feature. If you are sensitive to pacing like I am, this will quickly ruin the immersion.
* Insane Pricing (Highway Robbery): The cost to get rid of ads is incredibly high compared to almost any other app on the market.
To give you a better idea of how the ads run and what it costs to escape them, here is the exact data from my testing and the in-app store:
Ad Frequency (Timing Test)
During a live timing test, ads popped up at these intervals:
* Ad 1: After 2 minutes, 50 seconds
* Ad 2: After 9 minutes, 47 seconds
* Ad 3: After 15 minutes, 30 seconds
The Premium Cost Breakdown
If you want to bypass the ads and unlock full functionality, you have two choices: a direct Premium Membership subscription, or buying coins to trade for ad-free time.
Premium Membership Plans
Perks include: Complete ad removal, downloading chapters without spending points, VIP server access for faster download speeds, and early access to future features.
* 3 Months: $26.99
* 6 Months: $47.99
* 1 Year: $83.99
The Coin System
You can buy coin bundles and then spend those coins specifically to purchase ad-free time.
Coin Bundle Pricing:
* $15.00 gets you 1,000 coins
* $35.00 gets you 4,000 coins
* $40.00 gets you 5,000 coins
* $75.00 gets you 10,000 coins
Ad-Free Time (Coin Cost):
* 3 Days: 100 coins
* 1 Week: 200 coins
* 1 Month: 700 coins
* 3 Months: 1,800 coins
* 6 Months: 3,500 coins
* 1 Year: 6,000 coins
The Verdict
If you are on iOS and absolutely need access to the widest variety of webnovels, the massive library might make NB Reader worth downloading. However, unless you are willing to tolerate frequent, jarring ad interruptions or cough up some serious cash for their overpriced premium plans, the aggressive monetization and TTS glitches make it a tough pill to swallow.

New update

New update is horrible very laggy and slow to load anything downloading a single book took 45 mins

NBReader

It’s good but just to get rid of ads for like a week is way to expensive it’s ridiculous

Disappointed

All the books I’m reading disappeared after your update and I didn’t have the written down
