EXPLORE THE MAP
See aircraft near your location or browse another area. Recognized airlines appear as logos or airline-code badges. Tap a marker for altitude, speed, heading, aircraft identity, observation freshness and source information. Filters help narrow the map by altitude, airborne status and aircraft category.
UNDERSTAND THE ROUTE
When supported by the available data, the map card shows departure and destination airports, departure time, and planned or actual arrival time. Solid tracks show positions observed while the aircraft is selected in the current session. Dashed guides and estimated motion are kept separate. Routes that conflict with the aircraft's observed position or direction are marked Route unconfirmed instead of drawing misleading connections.
FIND AND FOLLOW FLIGHTS
Search IATA flight numbers, operational callsigns and worldwide airports by name, city or airport code. Choose a departure date, save a flight and give it a personal name. Jump from flight details or alerts to its aircraft on the map. Keep followed-flight names in the Home Screen widget and supported flight updates in Live Activities on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island.
STAY INFORMED
Enable notifications for observed departure, sustained cruise altitude, descent and arrival. Official Memmingen Airport board information adds scheduled times, status and delays for supported flights. Background checks and Live Activity updates depend on iOS scheduling and available data; alerts may be delayed.
LOOK UP WITH SKY VIEW
Use the rear-camera preview with on-device location, heading and motion to see nearby aircraft labels over the sky. Camera frames are not recorded or uploaded.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
No account, ads, analytics or paid subscriptions. Location, notification and camera permissions are optional.
IMPORTANT LIMITATIONS
Coverage, flight assignments, routes and timings can be incomplete, delayed or incorrect. A published route or selected date does not prove that a flight operates that day. Route checks detect contradictions but do not verify a flight plan, and unusual diversions may remain unconfirmed.
Nearby Aircraft is for casual awareness only. Never use it for navigation, dispatch, emergencies, collision avoidance or operational aviation decisions.
