Technical problems.

It started out great and I booked a couple gigs, then it stopped working. Luckily I was able to contact the clients and finish the jobs outside the app. Tech support has been unresponsive. Too bad, I thought it was going to be a good thing.

Handy man

I needed someone to hang my TV and I was able to find someone on NearHero right away! The price was cheap and the job was done very well. For anyone looking for services I highly recommend this app!

Hero movers

Very easy to use and great that I can see what users are verified. I just moved to Miami and needed help getting my apartment together. I hired 2 heroes one to help unpack and another to assemble all of my furniture. I was able to schedule in advance and hire instantly. Thank you Nearhero!

Great to find work quickly!

This app is awesome it helps me find odd jobs here and there, it’s cool too because you pretty much get paid instantly.

Doesn’t work for me

I downloaded the app, submitted a picture, and my name, clicked next, and...nothing. Literally, I kept clicking next and nothing happened. I don’t know if it’s the app or me, but it doesn’t work.

The next big thing

A friend posted yesterday on IG: “I wish there was a way to hire someone to help me move 1 big piece of furniture!” Well, Karie, you’re in luck! I’m kinda amazed this app wasn’t invented sooner bc it makes so much sense. I’ve used it for handyman work and errands. I’m even considering learning how to do something useful so I can be a Hero. Keep up the good work and please let me know when you figure out how to monetize my video game habit.

Great Experience

i’m signed up to lots of apps but they all asked me to pay just to get job requests but this app is cool because it’s free to get leads. this app really thought about the service providers experience while most just think about only the customer.

Used once and will use forever

I needed to move out of my apartment due to a mold issue and in minutes I already had people ready to come over to pack and move. This app is great. I haven’t had to use it again but next time in a rush this is where I’m going.

As for the required information, we have to follow U.S. Federal Regulations and Guidelines when dealing with money. Saved me this spring

This app saved me this spring when I unexpectedly loss my job and needed to make extra money fast. Great network of users and the app made it very easy to advertise my services (I’m a copywriter & notary). I still use NearHero to supplement my income.

Ask for sensible data

When you register with this app, it ask for ID and full credit card info to receive payments. Maybe it’s a developer mistake but it doesn’t look good

Hi Nick. Thanks for the review. When handling money, we have to follow U.S. Federal Regulations and Guidelines in order to avoid illegal activity. If we had it our way, we would make the process much easier, but as you know, it's always best to follow the rules :) This keeps NearHero safe and secure. As for the ID, we run background checks on users as another way to keep our community secure. We would never allow someone who's committed dangerous crimes use our platform since many services require users to visit someone's home. I hope you understand and re-consider your view of NearHero.
