Pretty inconsistent
While it has many good features there are many inconsistencies which is disappointing especially with the AI just remove the AI if it doesnt work and teach.
Passed My Journeyman Electrician Exam
They do a really good job of hammering down the knowledge in your head and helped me pass the test on my first attempt and made the calculations a breeze
Colorado Master electrician exam
I passed my Colorado Masters Electrical exam today. This app is good for studying. You have to check some of the questions because some of the answers you cannot find them in the book or it doesn’t add up kinda but all no this is a good app to study and pass your exam with
Price outrageous
App is not worth 100 a month, every mode is locked except for one 6 question “quiz” a day, a bit ridiculous…. Not your ideal way to help pass a journeyman’s exam. There is too many free apps with no subscriptions that do the same or do it better.
Decent
I think this is a decent app to learn about NEC code and to test on it, but I have a few problems with it. Overall the app is pretty good, I don’t think it’s worth $100 for the pro version considering you can get a lot of free study material and because of the issues I’ve stated below. I will say the AI tutor is really nice, it may be worth $50 just for that, it has definitely helped me with the calculations, being able to ask any questions you have during an equation and getting a full understanding is nice. But the problems that I have that I would love to see fixed are: 1- not all states test on the 2023 NEC and all the questions on this app are based on the 2023, I am in NC and we are using the 2020 and there has been MANY questions that I cannot answer or have a different answer due to this. 2- The questions are not worded like the NC electrical licensing exam, so it’s hard to understand what these questions are asking sometimes because you have to read into the question (which you should not have to do based of the Electrical Board’s instructions for the exam) instead of it being clear where to go in the code. 3- There occasionally are questions that leave out crucial information needed to solve problems, the one that comes to mind is leaving out the impedance percentage to find your multiplier factor for transformer protection .

Solid preparation for the LLE
This has helped me out big time, it lists where you can find the answers and how to do them if you miss them, and the app is very easy to navigate.
Passed Texas Master Electrician Exam
I used Dakota as one of my studying methods to prepare for the Texas Master Electrician Exam. The questions asked made me search through my code book thoroughly and when getting the questions wrong, having the hints to tell me where to find the correct answer/ how to do the calculations was pivotal to my success.

Not too happy
I’ve done a lot of the Mike Holt material, and I passed my first exam for my journeyman license, so I kind of know the material, I’ve studied a lot of different materials, and I’ve challenged a lot of the questions I had got on this platform and I have yet to get a response, just really dissatisfied with this app, and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone so far

Great tool to use when studying for jman exam. I was nervous with the price and wether or not it would be beneficial, but after trying the free 6 question daily practice exams for a few days, I had a good feeling it’d be worth it.

No cross platform functionality
There is no way to have a paid membership register across different devices such as on the iPad. I don’t see any login feature or way to restore purchases. Waiting for company to respond.
App needs to be on computer
Love the app just one thing I suggest is it needs to be available to download on the computer, would make studying more enjoyable than going of my phone screen.

This is an awesome tool to help you gain confidence in preparing for your journeyman exam. The bonus is the questions are pulled form your state specifically, to gain greater confidence. Would definitely suggest this tool to anyone.
Great app
Used the app for studying for my electrical exam. Wording very tricky but very good app to make you understand the code book. It is definitely a lot harder than taking the real exam but all in all it helped me pass the Ohio exam thank you!!!!
Best Exam app out there, needs improvement
The app definitely helped me refresh my code book skills. One of the biggest challenges I encountered while using the app is some of the wire description (such as insulation type, cable acronyms and wire sizes) must have been a Canadian standard which didn’t seem to correlate very clearly with the standard we use here in the states. Outside of those occasions there were a few references in the hint tab that I was able to disprove.
All said and done I like the app and may use it again in the future. I would recommend it to anyone needing another resource to study for their exam.
