It used to work. Now it freezes every time.
A year ago and prior, it worked like a charm! And gave me some of the lowest prices out there. But now it freezes every time. Even tried deleting and re-downloading the app. It can’t get past the database update stage. Freezes at 100% or 0%. And occasionally gives error message: “HTTP ERROR, PHARMACY-DATA, RESPONSE WITH STATUS: 0 FOR URL: NULL”

This app hasn’t been updated in >3 years, and I sincerely doubt that any further iOS updates will fix the critical bug(s) impacting the app.
As others have described, this app completely freezes/hangs when attempting to selecting a drug/dosage while searching in the Medication List and Drug Price Search. This can only be “reset” by manually killing the app and launching it again.
The app is almost completely worthless without a fix from the developer.

Unresponsive App
This app sounded like a good idea, sadly it’s unresponsive for iPhone 13 Pro Max. Just use their website instead.
When you click Add Medication, select the Drug, the app freezes and must be closed (tried with Wi-fi and with 5G full bar and it just doesn’t work).

What’s the point, if it freezes up when you try to add the first rx? Tried several times... same outcome every time.

This app sounds great. I downloaded it and at the first step the whole app froze . i cant see anything. i got as far as entering my first rx medication and screen/app froze.

Works, but not the best option
This discount card worked for me at CVS, but the Rx discount card provided by my state (NC) took off several more dollars than this was able to. That said, I suppose this would be better than nothing.
Re: Single Use!!!
The pharmacy's data fields (on their computer) MUST be cleared before each use. The instructions are on the back of the card (2nd page " > " in-app). Some pharmacists & many technicians don't read the processing instructions, for a variety of reasons.
ALSO: Many pharmacies have their own "in-house" discount programs (Walgreens, Publix, etc.) and prefer to use their own rather than pay the small fee to NeedyMeds.
PS - I have been told that I'm not eligible to use a discount program because I have Medicare Part D. This is not entirely correct. I can't use a discount card "with" my other insurance. I can, however, use it "instead of" my insurance. It may have to be "rung up" as a separate purchase. I guess that some technicians/cashiers feel annoyed when I ask them to check both prices!

Excellent
The Needy Meds discount card can be used multiple times- the reviewer who says otherwise is mistaken. The Needy Meds website, in addition to the discount card, also lists coupons for medications and THOSE are sometimes single-use but that is based on the conditions of each coupon and the drug company sponsoring it. Needy Meds also lists free and low cost health clinics and patient assistance programs. EXCELLENT website.

CAN ONLY USE ONCE
I tried to use it a second time but pharmacist said the computer said expired for me since it only allows each person to use it once. I was hoping maybe it wa just at that pharmacy but same at other pharmacies. too bad cuz i can't get insurance. Helped once, should have used it for my more expensive meds, o well.
