Worst app,

Worst app,

Just crashes. Doesn't work but asks for 10 bucks

garbage app. deleted. suspect developer is just stealing my data.

Works great!

Works perfekt with philips hue.
Homekit works ok, but that are homekit problems.
Nice App!!!

Works

Nice and simple.

Reaction to music would be a gread addition :)

Can’t choose a different home for accessories

I have two smart homes, but there’s no way to choose a different home in the app. As a result, only accessories in my other house can be connected for this app. UI seems nice though.

Only works when app is open

So I mainly use it to change the colour of my lights due to music/audio. It was the whole point of me downloading this app

It uses your mic when on Home Screen but lights stop charging go back into the app it works fine

Not compatible with YouTube (or YouTube Music)

Good app; almost great

This app is a great replacement for the default Hue Sync app. It's more flexible and produces brighter lights (wish I could get it to make them even brighter!). I use it almost every day while working and listening to music.

Two issues, though:

* Locks up after a few hours of use. Every single time. I have to Force Quit and restart it. I have an M1 Macbook, but it was like that with my Intel one too.
* When you open the app, it remembers the previous state of the window. So if your window was minimized when you close the app, it opens up with it minimized. This is annoying and unlike other Mac apps.

Also, it'd be nice if you could specify the input source. Right now it uses the system default. If I were wearing headphoens while working, this wouldn't work.

Super

super little light show in the office I've a Hue go lamp, a coloured light as the main light and two candle coloured lights. Impressed and it works well too with the IMac app, and with the IOS app I don't have to connect my Hue bridge as I can just connect to HomeKit.
Cheap and Cheerful

Won’t run in background

Easily one of the beat apps, except it won’t run in the background. What’s the point of these apps if it won’t run in the background?

Animated lights & multiple controls - THIS IS IT

I've downloaded and purchased all of the apps. This one offers solid controls, stability and animated scenes. I aura's inteface and really drop-dead easy use, but this is what I've been looking for.

I have used thorlight for a long time on my iphone to control my lighting rig and the longer i used it the more glaring it's problems. It gives a lot of control to the user, such as mapping the direction and causality of the lights but that too can be messy and buggy. I also don't know if the lights stop animating due to the phone turning off, but I find myself jobbing the app all the time to keep it animating my lights.

Neon is finally killing this task for me.

Hue's power is in creating dynamic lighting. But sometimes you just want it to animate itself, without the need of tv or music or the use of an iphone or another electronic device. This rig is underutilized by most apps - -

Neon finally delivers. Thank you!

Nearly great

The app works great in principle, except it doesn‘t allow to disable screen lock and it doesn‘t work in the background. So one has to disable screen lock completely to use it for more than a few seconds. The price for the full functionality is a bit hefty.

GL

This is a very good light and is easy to change colours but is very unclear on how to reconnect the light when it for some reason does not work

Huh?

With LIFX it didn't do anything.

What is it even supposed to do?

Tricks you to buy it and after they change the app

I bought as a mistake when I press upgrade it because I thought that I was updating the app. I was in a hurry and I didn’t realised that I was paying £9.99 for an app that does nothing special. Really?!?!?

Apart from that, the app es called “Lights” and had much more things going on, than when finally I updated it, that the name changed to “Neon” and it seems that I can only set the lights in one way, the bar of rainbow colours doesn’t permit you chose the colours you are interested, only if you press specific box colours. I meant that is not possible to not select the green and blue if you want to select from purple to orange. Really?!?!?

Last thing that I think it’s incredible, the lights doesn’t follow the music well, kind of does randomly whatever the app want. You need to adjust the duration of the transitions in order to synchronise with the music, don’t wait that the app will do the job for you. So in every song with different tempo, you need to be changing the duration if it. Forget to play a playlist and forget the phone, if you want to make the app work properly you will need to be adjusting the app every now and then. Really?!?!?

Overal.
- The previous app called “Lights” that I bought as a mistake had much more options to adjust and I was able to setup different scenes.
- The new app after the update is called “Neon” and it has a huge lack of functionalities. It has only one scene, is not always possible to choose the range of colours you are interested and have the necessity of being constantly on top of the app to make it work correctly.
- If you add to that that the price of the app is £9.99 for an app with more functionalities, you have the biggest scam between the iPhone apps.

Developers, how can you refund me my money?

Beyond Amazing!

Opened the app for the first time, and automatically connected to all my lifx lights without any issue. The app is so easy to use and get started up, and for free has so many great options, such as Audio Reacting (Using Microphone) and Video React (Using Display) and others.

I would recommend this app to anyone who is interesting in this kind of use, especially for one that is flawless from what I can see.

Doesn’t work in background

Paid version not working when run in background. Kind of useless without that feature and it states it will work in the background in the settings.
