Could you also add the ability for one to use custom fonts that the user has on their phone? For instance, I have a profile installed for Fira Code, and I would like to use it here.

I’m happy to say that both requested features have since been added: you can now arrange toolbar items in your preferred order, and the editor supports custom fonts installed on your device, including Fira Code. В версии 0.8.6, которая сейчас доступна в App Store, было внесено много улучшений стабильности и исправлено несколько сценариев, приводивших к сбоям. Также я продолжаю работать над надёжностью приложения в следующих обновлениях. Если сбои происходят и в версии 0.8.6, пожалуйста, свяжитесь с поддержкой и укажите версию macOS, модель Mac, а также действия или файл, с которым вы работали перед сбоем. Endlich ein Editor, der nicht im Weg steht.
Der Neon Vision Editor geht einen anderen Weg – und genau das macht ihn interessant.
Was sofort auffällt: die App startet extrem schnell und wirkt wirklich nativ. Kein künstlicher Overhead kann warten auf Index, Yvng oder Plugins, gerade bei schnellen Änderungen an Skripten. JSON – Dateien oder Lock ist das ein echter Vorteil. Große Dateien öffnen spürbar schneller als bei vielen anderen Tools.
Die Oberfläche ist minimalistisch, aber nicht leer. Syntax Highlighting funktioniert zuverlässig. Für viele Sprachen und Features wie Quick oben oder Relax – suche sind genau da, wo man sie erwartet. Kein unnötiger Ballast, aber auch kein Notepad Level.
Was ich besonders positiv finde: kein Trekking, kein Accounts keine Cloud Sven. Läuft komplett lokal, optionales AI Feature aber nicht aufdringlich. Konsistente Erfahrung auf Mac iPad und iPhone.
Natürlich merkt man an manchen Stellen noch, dass die App aktiv entwickelt wird – kleinere UI – Kanten oder Features, die noch nicht ganz ausgereift sind. Aber das gehört ehrlich gesagt dazu und Updates kommen regelmäßig.
Fazit: kein Ersatz für eine volle IE – aber das will die App auch gar nicht sein. Für schnelles sauberes Arbeiten ist sie genau richtig. Für einen schlanken, tiefen Editor sucht, sollte sich das definitiv anschauen.
Lovely so far.. but
Loving it so far. It’s like a lightweight version of windows notepad++, although I’ve been facing some issues with the coloring scheme with the markdown files of Claude’s out MD files. Maybe needs a bit of work on that but also, while reading through it, it feels that the text becomes somehow “interactive” and moves around. It get’s confused with certain section and I thought it tended to delete sections of text depending on what it considers it as “code”! Hope this helps in future improvements. Thank you for your work!

Thank you for the thoughtful review and for describing the Markdown issues so clearly. I’m sorry that the highlighting and interactive text behaviour made the document difficult to read or edit. Markdown handling has been substantially improved since your review, including rendering, syntax highlighting, and editor stability. Version 0.8.6 is currently available on the App Store, and it should provide a much more reliable experience with Markdown files, including exported Claude documents. If you still see text moving, disappearing, or being incorrectly treated as code after updating, please contact support with a sample file or the relevant section of the document. That would help me reproduce the behaviour and investigate it further. Thank you again for the helpful feedback and for giving the app a chance.
