This app did not live up to what they said this app is horrible nothing like TikTok and never will be better than TikTok I barely can get any likes and the fyp is honestly boring and honestly if you are trying to make a platform for yourself i definitely don’t recommend this app very disappointing💯

I may have just gotten my hopes up but this really just isnt it.. ive been following along since theyve started and they made it out to be the next big deal, its not. Its on the store but for what point? You have to have a code (which i never received mine) and im just overall very disappointed with how this turned out. Dont waste your time.

I cannot even create an account because I have to way of getting a passkey. They say to enter your email in the “How To” section but there is no where to type it and it never asks you in any obvious way!

I was in the discord server and attempted to reserve a username. when I came back to it, I find that I needed an invite code from my email so I checked and nothing came. the “owners” of this platform completely ignore the people who have been patient and loyal to this app and it’s sickening that something that was supposed to be all inclusive turned into exclusive

Update: I got curious and checked my emails to see if I ever got the keys for my accounts I registered over a year ago. It’s almost 2026. I never received them. Never in my life have I seen a pay to use social media, and it is by far the dumbest concept I have ever encountered.

Waste of potential
Downloaded in hopes to open and start posting except you need a code before you can even begin. Has the potential of being a popular app, yet clearly unless you know someone already on this social, you’re not getting on. They should’ve just advertised it as an exclusive club app.

Maybe I’m just optimistic, but I hope it gets better with time. It was easy enough to make an account. However, that’s where it stops. None of the videos will play aside from the very first one upon signing in. I closed the app and went back in. The video tried to play, skipped a couple of times, then completely stopped. I can’t even accurately judge any of the programming because none of the content will play. Hope it gets fixed so I can give a better rating later.

I’ve been a beta tester for over 6 months and it is exciting to watch it GROW! So many people predicted its demise, but it is thriving and evolving!
Couldn’t Even Begin
I have been following this apps development for a year. I’d joined the discord, followed the updates, and so on. Even reserved a user ID way back when. Finally had a chance to download (primarily an android user, but recently acquired iPad), and can’t even sign in. Tried to use the email I pre registered with way back when, didn’t work or go through. Tried to make a new account, and was asked to enter an invite code. Frankly, I don’t have the patience the jump threw these hoops to even make an account, and with reading other reviews saying you now have to pay for it, it’s a hard NO for me. Super disappointed, as I was looking forward to this app.

App is basically non-functional
First thing I’m greeted with after waiting a year to get a code to join is a welcome video that can’t load. I set up my profile and then go to post a video. It defaults to selfie mode but you can pick a video from your camera roll so I do so. Then try to enter text in the caption pane (which is required to post the video) and it just pops me back to the selfie camera. I tried six times to get it to work and it won’t let you enter text in the caption pane. Just sends me back to the camera. So I try to find a help menu and the menu icon (three lines in the upper right corner) doesn’t do anything. No other way to access any other kind of menu. So this app is useless at this point. Glad I waited a year to get on it. 🙄

ONLY 70 REVIEWS SHOWS NOBODY IS DOWNLOADING: I knew from the start something wasn’t right with this organization. All this waiting , false starts and jumping through hoops for total garbage . Sending out keys? They stated they were different from TikTok and Instagram. Yes TikTok and Instagram have real Intellectual Software Engineers at work. Why?
So it took almost 3 hours to get my “account” to work with a bunch of back and forth emails work support. Then when I’m on the app there’s literally NO feed at all. I can’t find people to interact with or see other videos and obviously my one post has zero viewers because again there’s NO FEED. There are “features” on the menu that do absolutely nothing and it’s a good thing I waited for this
Oh and did I mention they made the discord feeds read only so that’s fun
I have over 25k followers on Tiktok none of whom got an invite code.

Takes a long time to upload a video. Every time you leave the page and go back. It says lost connection.
Barely Works
I want to love Neptune, but whenever I go into the app, the feed doesn’t work. Sometimes it works if you refresh enough but the majority of the time that doesn’t fix it either. They’ve got a ways to go before they can be a reliable go-to app.
