Nerve: Private Messenger

Nerve is a passkey-only encrypted messenger for direct conversations, private groups, public update channels, and device-local apps. PRIVATE BY DEFAULT • Create a random Nerve ID without a phone number, email address, password, Google account, or Apple account. • Sign in with a discoverable passkey and use the operating system's cross-device passkey flow. • Private messages and private groups are end-to-end encrypted. The relay stores and routes encrypted envelopes; clients decrypt locally. • Manage trusted devices, add another passkey, log out, or delete the account from Settings. MESSAGES AND GROUPS • Start direct messages by Nerve ID or @handle. • Create and manage private groups. • Create, discover, follow, and report public update channels. Public channel profiles and posts are public by design. • Archive, pin, mute, and reconnect without losing synchronized history. APPS • A clearly labelled, built-in Creative Commons Sintel open-movie demo lets anyone try Apps immediately, without a special account or hidden setup. • Add compatible user-provided manifests. • Browse catalogs, search, and open direct HTTPS streams. • Play compatible torrent sources on the device with peer, speed, and buffering status. • Connect your own OpenSubsonic music library and use the audio queue with background playback. • Save supported media locally and open or share completed files with system tools. Only download content you have the right to save. • Nerve does not host or proxy media. Add-on operators, trackers, peers, and source servers are independent services and may receive network metadata such as your IP address. • You are responsible for the sources and content you choose to access. Nerve is free and contains no advertising.
