Worst streaming app imaginable
NESN has somehow done the impossible and created a streaming app that outright doesn’t work in 2026. I could get a high school CS class to create a better app than this garbage
So many bugs.
I love NESN. It’s the soundtrack of my childhood. But good god any time you actually interact with the screen, you have to go back out of the game and then back in, in order to reset the functions on the right. The volume for some reason jumps all over the place. I’ll keep using it because I need to watch the Sox, but for the price it has to be fixed.

Waste of money, barely works
Horrible, horrible, horrible. What a waste of money — don’t even bother. Lousy ill-designed app that barely works. Here’s a typical 60 seconds of a Red Sox game:
Watch game for 5 seconds.
Screen freezes for 15 seconds.
Buffering, buffering, buffering for 30 seconds.
Game returns, but in blurry fuzzy standard def resolution. For about 10 seconds.
Freezes.
Buffering, buffering, still frozen.
Totally black screen that says “NESN”.
Buffering, frozen black screen.
Kill the app, switch channel to Food Network.
I’m canceling my subscription and requesting a refund. NESN, scrap this thing completely and start over.
Watch game for 5 seconds.
Screen freezes for 15 seconds.
Buffering, buffering, buffering for 30 seconds.

Terrible app
Constant issues simply watching the games. Insanely expensive, very limited selection of NESN content… For a company making this much money, you’d think they’d try a whole lot harder. It’s actually pretty humorous how little they care about ensuring this app is usable. Absolute rip off. Shame on John Henry and Fenway sports group. You’re a joke.

Terrible app
The playback and in game fast forwarding and ability to stop the action and return are nonexistent on ATV, the format for finding programming is a mystery and the customer service is at best disinterested. Also too expensive for such a mediocre product.
Low quality app
It’s my only option for watching Red Sox games so I put up with it but it sucks. Don’t try to rewind or fast forward and forget about watching in 4K.
Useless NESN 360
There may be a worse iPad app available somewhere, but I’ve not seen it. NESN 360 sucks from start to finish. The page loads clumsily sometimes oriented at 90 degrees, sometimes off 270:or simply an infuriating 180 degrees upside down. Netflix, Prime, Paramount and every other app have figured out that most people prefer to watch their sports and movies with the top of the screen at the top and the bottom at the bottom, but NESN is still trying to figure out how iPads work. I’ve been dealing with their streaming woes for two seasons now. There will not be a third. Especially at $25 a month, the highest price in baseball.

Worst app in history of apps
I can’t believe how bad this app is,. I tried to cast it from my phone because it seems to be the only way to do it but if you touch your phone it mutes, if you touch your phone, it pauses it. It’s impossible to use. Typical for how the Red Sox are run.
Has this app been tested on Roku?
I am every day, every time having trouble with this app, the Roku version. It is very difficult to watch from the beginning. Why is that a hard feature to implement? When going forward or backward, I get “Something went wrong. Retrying…” After that, if I’m lucky, it will go to live, not want I wanted. The UI for turning off captions doesn’t work. With the Sox at 10-17 I ask myself why I am paying $30/mo?

App has been buggy for multiple seasons with no improvement from last year. Connection to Airplay/Chromecast extremely spotty. Wayyyyyyyy overpriced for the product. Would give 0 stars if possible.
Performance Issues
The Red Sox are having performance issues on the field and NESN 360 is having performance issues off the field.
I just updated the app, closed all other open windows, shut down and restarted the iPad and still…the video runs for a few seconds, then I get the rotating circle in the middle of the screen. At one point, the video started again but reverted to the prior inning. What gives?

Worst Streaming app of all time
Unbelievable how you can charge $1 a day for this. It is non stop lag, unwatchable. 0 stars if I could. It is much like the Red Sox organization, no money invested in the product and the fans end up paying for it. Both out of pocket and in the experience. BE BETTER

The NESN360 app and platform is the worst streaming service out there. It is inconsistent, unreliable, and constantly causing issues. There are always technical problems on the mobile app and the website isn’t any better. It constantly logs you out and makes you reconfirm your account/TV package. @NESN I beg you to improve this app as it is outdated and has the most outdated user interface ever.

App stuck in 2010
This app couldn’t be worse. The most basic functionality you expect in this day and age do not exist on it. They charge way too much for something that’s so glitchy and pathetic. Can’t pause or rewind. They had a high school computer science intern make it I’m pretty sure.
