What's New in NestBoard

1.0.144

August 13, 2026

NestBoard finally fits an iPad. Chores, Meals, Pantry, Family, Calendar, Vacation Mode, Settings and the Dashboard were all built for a phone or a desktop and squeezed into anything in between. Every one of them now lays out for the screen it is on, and Week view shows all seven days on an iPad held upright instead of looking like the week ends on Thursday. Days now start and end on your household clock, the one you set in Settings. Streaks stop breaking for families who do their chores in the evening, overdue counts and screen time resets land on the right day, medication courses count the days you would count on a calendar, and a tablet left on overnight turns over to the new day by itself. Robin answers from the same information your pages show. She no longer brings up an appointment you cancelled or a routine you switched off, she keeps quiet about anything paused for Vacation Mode, and she reports the weather in the units you chose. The Family page shows what is actually coming up. Each member card was listing their oldest events, some from months back, which pushed the things happening this week off the card entirely. Every row now carries its date, so two visits at the same hour weeks apart no longer look like the same thing twice. Numbers agree with each other now. The count on a dashboard card matches the page it opens, the daily email matches the app, expiring pantry items actually reach your alerts, and a member's level matches the progress bar underneath it. When something does not save, NestBoard says so. A failed unlock, invite, chore tick or check in used to look like it worked. Money is honest too, so a chore reopened after its allowance was spent shows the balance going back down instead of quietly keeping it. You can clear Robin's conversation history yourself, under Settings, then Privacy and Data. It clears the notes she saved as well, so she genuinely starts over. Also in this release: reminders step aside instead of covering the buttons in a form, your own notification sounds play, Settings reports what your phone is really doing with notifications instead of always showing a green tick, new routines ask which days they run, help bubbles open on the first tap, the sidebar tells you how many pages are still below the fold, and picking a plan works in Safari on iPhone.

User reviews

Almost There

This app is so close to being awesome but it’s still so buggy. Sometimes it zooms in for no reason and you can’t zoom back out. You have to just clear out of the app completely. And I want to be able to just add meals without Robin suggestions but there’s no option for that.
Again? The idea is there and I LOVE that this is all offered for free, it’s just got a couple kinks to work out still. I’m here for it tho. ✌️

Response from developer

Thank you, this is the kind of review that actually gets things fixed. Both of those are done, and they are in the version that went live today. The zoom trap is gone. It was the app zooming in when you tapped into a text field and then refusing to zoom back out, which is why force quitting was the only way clear of it. And there is now a "Type it yourself" box on the Meals page. Type the meal, pick the slot, and it goes straight onto the plan. No suggestions unless you want them. Thanks for sticking with it. If anything else bites, hello@mynestboard.com comes straight to me. Dillon, NestBoard
