Update???
Do you plan to update this app. It's always crashing and lags a lot. Even on an iPhone 15
Don’t work with latest macOS
I’m not sure what good this parental app does because the platform is not compatible with the latest versions of macOS (which it doesn’t state clearly on their website). Both this iPhone app and trying to install on the Mac reveal software that is old and out of date. I was hoping this platform would work for us, but I need to look for other solutions.

Used to be great.
We’ve been a Net Nanny family for more than a decade. Until recently, they were GREAT.
Now Net Nanny is not interfacing well with wireless mesh router technology. NN stopped our kids’ PCs, laptops and iPhones from working.
Net Nanny used to have great customer service. Now the reps are hard to reach. If you have a problem they don’t help on your schedule- just on their own schedule.
If/when they update their technology and have a better customer service schedule, it will be a great service again. Today I’m going to try another app.

I wish it was more straight forward to install. When I asked for help via email, they processed a refund. Now I need help deleting it off my kids devices.
No customer service
This app has a lot of quirks and issues. That alone is a problem, but what’s worse is that the company doesn’t respond. I’ve reached out to them twice on different issues. The first time I got zero response. The second time I got a response and they told me they would “look into it and get back to me.” They never have. I really wanted this app to work but it basically messes up everything from our printer to messenger kids.

Very buggy and unstable
The child app is very flaky, causing the child’s phone to be unable to connect to any site. There seems to be no rhyme or reason, the same site will sometimes work, and sometimes doesn’t. It makes the phone unusable. Their tech support just keep replying with canned message about uninstalling and reinstalling, which does nothing. DO NOT BUY

Its a very bad and slow application and its not working . Dont waste your money here .
Outdated garbage
A simple example. Block Twitter in the app, great it works. Go to x.com, it’s not blocked. Search for bad stuff in x, not blocked, no alerts.
Absolute worst company
This is the absolute worst company. Purchased the apps back in August 2024. Have sent numerous request for customer service. No one answers their phone during stated hours. Remail state that a supervisor will get in touch with me, but no one has. Do not give this company a penny of your money. We have brand new phones tablets, and none of their software works on any of the Apple devices we have. I believe this company is nothing but a scam.

Avoid these scammers
I made a huge mistake by giving this company my credit card info. The software is highly flawed and unusable. They have continued to charge my cc for two years and made canceling impossible. This company is a fraud. Avoid!!!
False advertising
So far this product Does Not work! I have reached out to customer service twice and have gotten a generic response on how to set up the app, which is what I already did! Total waste of money! Not even worth 1 star.

I hate net nanny. I had to write this review on a document instead on the App Store at first because of the restrictions that Net Nanny give me. Even worse these restrictions weren’t set by my parents. Net Nanny set them. The no Internet thing, my dad got rid of that as soon as he gave started this app for me. It still gives me a internet limit of four hours. Also, the timer runs even when the screen is off. So if I use it in the morning, I don’t have Internet for the rest of the school day. My dad downloaded net nanny on my phone, and on my computer so I can’t even do school work for the 2 last periods of school. The worst part, the last 2 periods are lunch (I can’t use my phone for communication or entertainment) and English ( the only important subject I have this semester) net nanny also sometimes just stops the NN Child app from working and sends me a notification to restart the app when clicked. But the clicking doesn’t work. I still don’t have internet access after. Every time my internet access ends, I will message my dad to give me more but net nanny also sometimes blocks the messages app. Since NN is an app in your phone or computer, VPNs also don’t work. It also automatically blocks social media apps and websites so I can’t use discord, google chat, instagram, for any communication. Even worse, my friends use Google chat and Instagram. My school uses Instagram for clubs and teams. and I need discord for two of my classes for group project work. I was also blocked from Google classroom even and my dad had to manually unblock it. it seems like NN’s idea child protection is to just block Internet completely. I also get an anxiety whenever I have to tell someone that there is a parental controls app monitoring me. About the parental app, I asked my dad to fix all of this and he did but it did not update on my side so this app being existant is proof that humanity is going downhill. Overall, it is very annoying to use for both my parents and me I wish any other app to monitor me. My entire social life is decimated by this one app, for a ninth grader, that is a big deal. I have Let down my friends multiple times because of the restrictions this gives. Anyways I hate this app and I hope this app dies and gets sent to the deepest depths of hell to rot.

Full of glitches on iPhones
Don’t recommend this app. It’s full of frustrating glitches and can’t get to a live person to solve problems also the chat techs can never solve the problem.

Outdated app interface
It is a robust software, but the iOS interface is rather outdated. by the looks of it, the last app update was two years ago. Maybe it’s time to polish things up to keep it relevant and more user-friendly.
Not what is advertised
I was disappointed with this app. I purchased this to provide time based control of specific apps along with the usual security content. The advertising material indicates this is part of the functionality but in fact it’s just a global timber for access per device. Have requested a refund.
Doesn’t work anymore on iPhones or any phone
Stopped working with the latest IPhone update. Customer support is non existent. Tried reinstalling but won’t install. Tried on three different iPhones, none of them work. I don’t think they are actually supporting this app anymore. It’s been two years since last update. Why is it still listed on Apples App Store? Don’t buy this, waste of money.

Appalling
This app does not protect your child’s phone, it breaks it. It doesn’t track screen time properly, it blocks internet for no reason, apps stop working when installed on phone. For your sake and your child’s, don’t waste your money on this.
