About

NetScope shows you which devices are on your Wi-Fi network, tests your connection, and tells you exactly how every result was measured. Nothing is guessed. DISCOVER • See every device that answers on your network, found by Bonjour, a bounded TCP sweep, reverse DNS and interface inspection. • Each device record keeps its proof: the method that found it, when it was last seen, and how confident the match is. • Unnamed devices are marked "Needs review", not "intruder". You decide whether a device is trusted or ignored, and that decision follows it. • If a discovery method can't run on your device, the scan says so, so an empty list never looks like an empty network. DIAGNOSE • Latency: TCP connect time with min, median and max over the attempts you choose (iOS apps can't send ICMP ping, so NetScope times a TCP handshake and labels it). • Port check: open, closed and no answer kept apart instead of lumped together. • DNS lookup: A, AAAA, MX, TXT, NS and PTR records against the system resolver or one you name. • Connection check: interface, gateway, DNS and HTTPS combined into cautious findings, each backed by the observation behind it. • Camera finder: flags likely cameras from advertised RTSP and ONVIF services, with a confidence level you can correct. It never opens a video stream. • Security findings: legacy services, router management pages and unreviewed devices, each with severity, evidence and a suggested action. YOUR DATA STAYS YOURS • Works without an account. • Device names, trust and tags are kept on your phone. • Export recent scan history as CSV or JSON. HONEST BY DESIGN NetScope never claims "your network is secure" or "device offline". It tells you what answered, from where, and when, and labels anything that isn't supported on your device. NetScope only observes networks you are connected to. Use it on networks you own or have permission to examine.
