- Better subnet display on an iPad

User reviews

Telnet remained!!!

The telnet feature was randomly removed!!!

.

Justโ€ฆ great.

Comprehensive toolkit

This is a pretty full toolkit for looking at your network. However it looks like a bash shell in a text window. Text is small and difficult to read in blue on grey. Might be ok on an iPad but pretty hopeless on an iPhone mini.

Needed to ping a PC from iPad and this worked

Helped me solve a connection issue I was having.

Thank you Dev team.

FAQ

What does Network Ping Lite do?

Network Ping Lite is a software test tool designed for maintaining and debugging network problems on a local area network (LAN). It provides an easy-to-understand, single-screen view of the status of devices within a full subnet, using color-coding to indicate if devices are working, have issues, or are offline.

What are the key features of Network Ping Lite?

Key features include pinging single IP addresses, pinging an entire subnet to provide an overview of up to 253 IP addresses, a port scanner, listing BLE devices, traceroute functionality to determine packet routes, and a telnet console for accessing routers or UNIX servers. It also displays the iPhone's IP address.

Is Network Ping Lite free to use?

Yes, Network Ping Lite is a free version of the application. The description indicates it is a 'Lite Version' and does not mention any costs or in-app purchases for its core functionalities.

What are the limitations of the Lite version compared to the full version?

The Lite version has limitations on the number of entries that can be saved in the device list (limited to 4, compared to 400 in the full version). Additionally, the full version allows telnet access to any port and does not interrupt subnet pinging after 255 requests, which the Lite version may do.

Who would benefit from using Network Ping Lite?

This app is beneficial for anyone managing or troubleshooting a local network, including IT professionals, network administrators, and even tech-savvy home users. It's useful for quickly identifying network issues, checking device connectivity, and understanding network routes.
