THE BEST!
Remember to restart Zoom on your computer once you connect your phone. No issues with Zoom! Works perfectly with iOS14 and my MacBook Pro (Intel, not M1). The driver was quick and easy to install as well.
Mac doesn’t recognize Camera
Tried to get this app working several times with zero luck. It just doesn’t recognize on the Mac whatsoever. I’ve tried everything it’s hopeless.
Seems to work well so far
This works better than EpocCam but I haven’t used it much yet. Will update once I do.
Rock solid
I use this as my main webcam for about ~7 hours of Google Meet meetings a day. I have an iPhone 11 Pro semi permanently mounted above my monitor plugged in through a Thunderbolt dock. I usually turn the phone off at the end of the day and then unlock it again the next morning. I’m extremely happy with the video quality. Last year’s iPhone camera is simply much better than any webcam. I don’t use any of the filters or effects.
Wishlist for the developer:
- I use the back camera on my phone which means the screen and the UI are facing away from me. This makes it too easy to smash buttons on the screen that I didn’t intend to while adjusting the phone or putting it back in the mind. Gesture guard seems pointless, but if you accidentally turn it on and are using a virtual background, you’ll just randomly disappear from the screen in the middle of your meeting. Same with the filters, way too easy to accidentally turn on and then have a weird skin tone for your entire meeting.
- Ability to dim the screen automatically. It’s facing away from me and not doing anything.

Just doesn’t work
Using Mac mini with big sur. doesn’t connect over usb. Opened support article and it says ‘try unplugging and plugging back in’ useless waste of time.
Not consistent
When it works.m, it works great. But it is not consistent. If you are planning to use this regularly, I recommend not using this app as it will be more frustrating to try and set up
Not working
This is taking forever to set up and it’s still not working it’s just annoying
Didn’t work more often than it did.
I tried it with zoom many times, always had my app updated, always had zoom updated, always had it connected with a usb from my iPhone to my Mac. Pretty frustrated.
Does not connect and can not uninstall
When running setup on app it never detects usb connection. (Phone is connected and music app can see it)
Also their FAQ give instructions on how to uninstall the Mac plugin and list a directory (CoreMediaIO) that does not exist. Their plugin definitely installed something somewhere.
Everything seems very fishy.

Crashes
It crashes every five second so I can’t use it off a clean restart with no apps I n the background.iPhone se 2020 and MacBook Air.
Doesn’t work
This app does not work with my Macbook. Nothing on their website helped resolve the issue. Do not recommend.
No microphone support
Great for a Zoom webcam, but no option to use iPhone mic, which seems like a massive missed opportunity.
Great app, some issues with zoom
This is an excellent app that provides clear uninterrupted video. So far, it has never crashed during a call. However, I am running into a a daily issue where zoom randomly will not recognize neuralcam as a video option when I start a call. Restarting my computer fixes the issue every time, but it’s very annoying. I use a macbook air and iphone 11.

Great app, amazing customer service!
I don't normally write reviews, but I was so impressed with Neuralcam's customer service that I felt I needed to let everyone know. I reached out to them about an issue and within two minutes I was contacted by someone about it. After a brief email exchange, they told me they would get the issue fixed and push out a new update asap. I can't recommend this app highly enough. The product is great and their customer service is unparalleled!

Messed up my MacBook Pro
I’m so annoyed, do not download the app to use with a MacBook Pro. The installing the drivers completely changed my set up! Finder windows do not function properly, I now have to wipe and re-install the operating system because I can’t search for the drivers! Why can’t I search you ask? Because the drivers have somehow removed this function from Finder! 🤬

Need a separate mic
Camera function is great. No mic support means this app won’t support video conferencing/chats/meets unless you have a separate external mic.
Doesn’t Work - Tech Support Left Me Hanging
Been trying to get this to work and tech support, after initially responding, has not responded to any of my correspondence. I upgraded to the Pro version and still no help.
Life saver
In the midst of a pandemic when WebCams are either impossible to be found or cost 2-3x the normal price, neuralcam allowed me to use the camera on my phone, which is superior to almost any WebCam I would purchase, with a seamless integration and at a tiny fraction of the cost. It is a critical part of my work from home tech stack and I recommend it to everybody.
