Do note that unlike all other news apps, Neus.ai provides in-app chat with your friends and any groups you create, and that's why require sign-in using phone number so that your contacts can find you. In order to keep your chats encrypted and accessible only to authorized users, we do need to identify content and tag to specific users. Given our integration with ChatGPT, and features that provide LLM services, we provide a paid plan for unlimited usage - which - if you choose to pay for via standard in-app purchase, would require payment details. Since we have not mentioned these features upfront, that may have led to your concern and feedback. We'll adjust the messaging in our next release.
