I loved this app. Worked great on the Pluto flyby but didn’t work for the Kiper belt object flyby.

This app is almost a brain dead creation by you jerks who can't even program an iPad app to work I am amazed we even got to Pluto with this kind of crap software..app fails to update and it fails to open when reinstalled so now there is nothing you morons...yes morons I am a Ph.D. From Berkeley and you should be publicly reprimanded for this

New Horizons
The app works great. Folks need to be patient as science takes time. The imagery is clear and things are organized nicely.
Low-res images :(
You need to include @2x and @3x images. I went to look at the pictures but they were too low-real to read the text in the image.
Too SLOW ....
This app is a nightmare to use and wait on. Images take minutes to load, sometimes don't load at all or it crashes out.....I'm in Australia on the NBN so my link is fast enough. I imagine there is no cache server locally for content.
Seems anybody can put an app together but the difference lies in the usage of the app. Hope the software on the space craft wasn't written by the same blokes!!

Great app, judge for your self
I'm a programmer by trade. Here's the deal, people are quick to complain and demand that all the crap they have running on their phones should work with everything else all the time. This app draws on other servers (they can't control) plus they do not have the resources to program safeguards against poor programming of other apps. If you have Angry Birds, TV Guide and FXX Now all loaded you're lucky anything works. Bottom line, this is not a commercial app. You might need to meet it half way.
Get this app, it's fun, but do as I do: before loading, first shut down all other apps (remove from memory) and reboot your device. If you have problems, consider an operating system update. Be sure you have a solid wifi connection while using. I noticed that the app does not recover well from choking while accessing outside servers (like YouTube, etc.). Try to only use this app when using to a reliable Internet connection.

I expected more
The app as been crashing for the past 3 days I will reinstall but it defiantly needs a complete overall I expected more out of this app from JHU-APL

Yep, completely worthless - if New Horizon had been built by whoever built this ”app" it would have crashed long b4 it reached Pluto…

Never opens on my iPad Air
When I try to open the app, it shows the first screen and then crashes.
Pluto should be a planet!
He's hoping that all this new data sparks the debate again and sees Pluto returned to its glory as a full fledged planet!

videos don't play
I've used the app for two days on my iPad Air running iOS 8.4, but the videos don't play. On the other hand, a huge Congratulations to the New Horizons team on reaching Pluto!! The July 13 photo is really spectacular and of course historic.

It had a few crashes but was able to fix it by reinstalling it. Thanks for the app, Pluto is very exciting!
Another great idea poorly executed

This app can't get its own basic functionality right! example: clicking a front page / news menu item does not reliably take the user to the appropriate article.
If I wanted to hunt thru online media for an article manually, I'd use a web browser.
Please tell me no part of my tax $ supported this amateur-hour waste of space.

No landscape support for videos!

No point wasting your time!
I have an iPhone 6 and when I installed it everything was fine for a few days but It started to crash. uninstalled and reinstalled still crashes. A while back they had an update for it installed it worked good for a days then started crashing again. With only a week to go there isn't any point of existing time and data to download this thing. On behalf of John Hopkins university, I'm sorry you waisted your time by clicking on this app and for reading these reviews also for the apparent excitement you felt when you saw this app as I did for the first time.
