Poor UI, buggy
Not user friendly - and puts dates in wrong too! Procedures logged same day are recorded as the day prior.
Not very helpful
Honestly, the only reason I downloaded the app was to log hours. Unfortunately, that is a whole over complicated process. The web version has a “clock in” button which seems like something that should be on the app to make tracking hours easier. I end up just logging into the website on safari and logging my hours that way. General suggestion is just to add a clock in and out function to make logging hours less tedious.

Multiple log repeats
Since a new update, my NI app keeps resubmitting procedures I logged the last time I was in the app. Makes a bunch of duplicates.
Needs work
App is unstable. Needs updates to ensure smooth log in experience. Lecturers cannot keep the QR code up during the entire lecture but this is the time it takes to repeatedly download the app and trouble shoot. Total distraction
“Select Activity” not working
When attempting to log work hours on the current version, the “Select Activity” option does not populate any of the presets like “shift” or “call.” It also doesn’t accept any possible free text option. Then you can’t submit work hours without a work activity selected. The current version is unusable for logging work hours from a mobile device

At least optimize for mobile
I am on faculty in a family medicine program. The app has some desirable features for residents but isn’t great for faculty. It’s hard to create evals for residents, and they aren’t mobile-optimized so it is VERY cumbersome to complete ad hoc evals. The direct observation feature has to be initiated by residents which makes it challenging to use for the intended purpose. In the era of competency-based assessment, we need quick, easy ways to give brief feedback based on observable behaviors, and this app does not facilitate that.

Needs work
After logging procedures, it does not allow you to open the log to edit. I am fine with the other limitations, but this one is a huge one.
Poor logging function
When logging a procedure and adding in the comment, the keyboard covers the text box I’m in so I can’t even see what I’m typing. Then when I’m done typing blindly, there is no “done” or “next” option to hide the keyboard away.
Not optimized for mobile use
I use new innovations mostly for resident evaluations. I downloaded this hoping that it would save me time. Unfortunately, after opening an evaluation to complete it, it becomes very cumbersome because it is not optimized for mobile use… It’s basically displaying the desktop version of the website which is extremely difficult to navigate. This is therefore useless.

Clunky interface
Having to use new innovations to log hours feels like a punishment. Why would you not give the option to use the same time range from the previous day? After every entry the date scrolls back to an earlier date. Give the option for work type to have a default. We moved from medhub, and for all of its faults, I appreciate it more than ever after using NI. Have the developers ever tried to use their own app? Essentially, they have no motivation to fix a design UI in an app we are forced to use. This is what the “lowest bidder” produces.

Activity tab issues
This below issue is happening again: For many residents at our program the “select activity” and “location” tabs are blank once you click on it. Unable to log hours via app. Could you please assist!
Bad
Wasn’t able to login because it stated that the institution name is invalid? I used the same name that I use to login online. Horrible app didn’t give me any other options or information on how to find the right institution name in the app.
Can’t even log in
I’ve tried typing in my institution in a dozen different ways (even the exact way I used on desktop) but it won’t recognize it so I can’t even log in. Downloaded and deleted within 10 minutes.
Buggiest app I am forced to have
Can’t even add my institution to the app. I type my institutional name 10 different ways and it doesn’t even recognise it.
