Transit

You guys need to have more on your ad. Why do I see a map time open it. Why can’t it keep the one you chose.

Useful

I use this app for the track postings in Hoboken and reported delays when I’m en route. Works pretty well. My only gripe (and it’s a big one) is my station (Harriman) never shows any departures.

Great app

It's awesome app. But TODAY it decides not to work at all. Fix the glitch

FAQ

What information does the NJ Rail app provide?

The app provides real-time departure information for NJ Transit Rail stations. This includes destination, scheduled departure time, train number, track number, train line/route name, and a countdown status. You can also tap on departures to see all upcoming station stops with estimated arrival times that adjust for delays.

Is this app a substitute for official NJ Transit alerts?

No, this app is not a substitute for official NJ Transit alerts and advisories. While it provides good train status information, it cannot explain incidents or offer travel advice. It is recommended to sign up for official alerts directly through NJ Transit.

Which is more accurate: the app or the station departure board?

While the app is updated frequently, during major service disruptions, the station's in-person departure board should be considered more accurate. The app may sometimes have difficulty getting the most up-to-date data from NJ Transit in such situations.

Does the app work offline?

No, a network (Internet) connection is required for this application to function. It needs to connect to NJ Transit's data sources to provide real-time departure and delay information.
