Real bad

Worst app I’ve ever seen. Won’t search, won’t move between book.

Worthless

Audio

The voice is so irritating….discourages you from wanting to hear the Word of God.

Disappointed

The table of contents is wrong and the translation is poor.

Please use Catholic Church approved translations.

New Jerusalem Bible

The index is screwed up. And there’s ads. I really want to see an advertisement for “Candy Crush Saga “ during my Lectio time. Really puts me in a spiritual mood!

Psalms and Genessis

I have read almost all of these portions. My objection is the Tebu ads that are so persistent. It is very difficult just to get into the reading without the Tebu ad interfering.

Jerusalem Bible App

I find this app to be less user friendly than a previous app. It is clumsy when going from one book of the Bible to another. I do not care for the way the individual verses are isolated in balloons. While it is true that original Holy Writings were not divided into paragraphs, modern readers are use to that style of reading. Paragraphs also help in maintaining the continuity of the Biblical narrative, especially in reading the historical accounts.

Yahweh is not used in Catholic liturgy

If you’re looking for a Catholic Bible you should know the Vatican doesn’t approve the use of Yahweh in our liturgy, songs, nor prayers. I have the Jerusalem Bible in two languages. Yahweh isn’t in either one and for a reason. Uninstalled the app as soon as I saw it didn’t match my physical Bible.

Please fix index

The index does not show the name of the books. If this were fixed, this would be a 5 star app.

Good

This is a good app, however, there are a few Old Testament books that are listed as New Testament!

Great bible.

Best catholic bible to read.

Requested modifications

It would be fantastic if it orientated to landscape mode when I use my IPad.

The study version requests that I download extra stuff as I change chapters. Very annoying.

Review

Hard to save my place.

Good NJB, but Old / New Testament lists are incorrect

Old / New Testament lists are incorrect. The Old Testament list should start with Genesis and end with Malachi, and the New Testament list should start with Matthew and end with Revelation. Otherwise, this is a great NJB with lots of features.

Voice is not working

Voice is not working for many readings.

The audio part is full of mistakes

God bless you
