horrible after promotion
i have so many bad things to say about this game, first of all as soon as your promote in spanish league to league 2, the opponents become 10x more skilled which has absolutely no balance since we barely get paid to even catch up by buying players that are somewhat decent, not only that but every single game has ended in my team losing by 5+ and i’m only give 2 chances to score all game long. second, progressing in this game is so incredibly hard maybe even impossible until you promote and relegate atleast 5 times so you can finally get enough money to get a good academy and etc to buy players that are high rated so you can actually have a chance in league 2. third, the games are obnoxiously long, there should be an option to sim the match otherwise a single season would last days if i’m playing multiple hours a day. fourth, the prices on everything including scouting building, stadium, training ground, players, and so many more are so insanely high, it’s genuinely impossible to get anything good since after you promote for the first time you get wrecked over and over then you lose money and lose sponsorship and lose fans to the point you’re getting almost no money before relegating back down. A 80 ovr player cost millions and needing 11 not including reserves or substitutions makes league 2 impossible to win any matches. I can list so many more problems but these are the main 4 that make the game unplayable

This game has amazing potential but is just so unrealistic opposition goalies save almost everything and if you bench a player once his happiness drops and then you just lose every game even if you have got max work rate and you score every chance
Fun but misses the mark
I’ve read other reviews that has similar comments to mine so I’ll keep it brief. But basically starting in season two most of your team is unhappy and you don’t get enough meeting cards to make the players happy. All you can do is just spend $1.99 to get more meeting cards. It’s just impossible to keep your players happy and it’s not very fun after that. Also the ads to get players energy back are extremely buggy and do not work often

Alors que c’était mon jeu préféré je dois le désinstaller car la mise à jour et horrible :les matchs sont beaucoup trop dures maintenant ils sont lent et la nouvelle fonctionnalité de tir est affreuse le nouveau ballon etc

Crashes way too often
I love this game i play it every day but it seems that every ecl match i have to restart my game in the middle of me playing sometimes messing up my board challenges and i struggle to understand how such a good game can crash so often pls fix this i want to keep playing without wanting to worry about game crashes

Only annoying parts is the constant development asks you can’t keep up with and the wayward passes that the game for some reason forces on you

Very fun but need deep improvement
This game is really fun and I enjoy playing it, but it gets really irritating. In one match I barely even touched the ball for almost the entire first half (I got the possession only once!) while the other team scored 4 goals in under 20 minutes of the game and guess what when I refresh it and retry it they scored 3 goals in less than 10 minutes. Shooting also feels very inconsistent long range power shots never go over the goalkeeper’s head, but when I shoot closer outside the box, the ball flies way over the goal even and it feels like I could’ve shoot further away but you really can’t cause they always save it or the shot goes beyond the goal when I’m not aiming there.
The tutorial says you can curve the ball, but no matter how many times I try, it never seems to work properly. Free kicks are also frustrating because the goalkeeper saves every free kick I make or it goes over the net and sometimes the shots feel weaker than the shot I was trying to Make. Another annoying thing is that the AI opponents constantly boot the ball away instead of dribbling or passing like in all football games I’ve played. The game has potential and can be really enjoyable, but these issues make it very frustrating at times.

New Star Manager is an incredibly addictive mix of club management and tactical gameplay. If you love the "building" aspect of sports games, you will get hooked on upgrading your facilities and turning a bottom-tier team into a powerhouse.
The only downside is that you are locked into one club. You can’t get hired by bigger teams or manage a national squad like in the original New Star Soccer. It’s a "one-club journey" only.
