User reviews

App doesn’t work with subscription

Don’t expect to use this app if you’ve taken out a paid subscription to New Statesman Digital directly via its website, because it doesn’t work. You can only read on the app if you’ve paid your sub via Exact Editions or Apple Store.

Very disappointing

I’ve signed last week - again, as the previous version stopped working - but I have no access to the latest edition which should have been out today. In addition. The iPad edition is quite limited as we have no access to the live feed of the magazine.
If I need to pay almost 10 quid every week to access an issue I will buy the paper edition whenever there are editions with lots of good articles (which is not always case).

Latest issue not provided?

Not sure who is responsible here, but the issue dated 18 December 2019 is not on this App I have on 24 December 2019. I paid via iTunes.

Let’s be fair here iTunes/Apple and News Statesman, just ensure we all get equal access to the publication etc.

What a load of rubbish

What use is it when the current issue is unavailable to download? Don't waste your time and buy the digital magazine from the publisher and not from some middleman.

Does not fulfil advert

Told that I would receive one free issue of the mag if I downloaded the app. This is not not the case. Instead there are a few pages and the message that you must subscribe to see the remainder. Was thinking about subscribing but wanted to check out the app first...... as a result will not be subscribing now.
