So many opportunities were missed with this.... for instance using the "shake" ability of the iPhone to spin the crank noise maker or an animated crowd with the cheer, etc. My 13 year old son tried it and his reaction was rolled eyes. This was good a idea but the creative and design solutions fell short.

Good for about 5 seconds...

Its an OK app that is useful for new years. The only problem is not with this app but with the sound system on the iPod Touch, it doesn't let you experience the sound as if you were actually the one making the sound. but other than that its a good app. Also consider sounds for other events too (such as; Fireworks, Happy Birthday, the sound of a turkey ,etc.).

v1.0 is buggy!

Click on the 'horn' and the app crashes. The 'crowd' shouting 'Happy New Year' sounds like three guys doing the shouting. Save your $0.99 for something else.
