FYI the login complications of this app is the worst I’ve ever experienced. God forbid it crashes and logs you out, it won’t let me back in and thinks I’m a free user. Not to mention u have to have VERY specific settings via newforma desktop app to have the right access to things like creating punch items. The whole Newforma ID versus your windows login is so weird and never works except on the 5,000th try. If you have any say in anything, don’t let your firms use Newforma ID apps, it’s just a time suck

I hate the fact I have to try use this app for work…never works properly. Avoid making your company use any Newforma products if possible; unless you want employees GO’ing time for software malfunctions
Crash
This app is really useful for field notes when it works. It seems to crash at a way higher rate than most other apps needing to be completely deleted and reinstalled. This is problematic especially if you’re taking pictures within the app.
Uploading field note issues
I am an architect and frequently use the capture app for field reports and punch walks. We use Newforma on the pc side too so I like the integration. I frequently have issues with being able to upload my field notes to the computer. It times out and grays out the field notes that I want to upload so I cannot email them. I have been using the app for 7+ years and this happens regularly. And the help you get on Newforma’s website is non existent under the “common questions.” I have called and been on the phone with them for over and hour. Most often the “fix” is to turn off your phone, make sure you are on internet, and then at some point it magically works. Today I have turned my phone off and on at least 3 times to no avail. Newforma, please fix this before 7 more years go by and I have the same problem.

Good plan poor functionality
Using to catalog project images to share with other members but not uploading over 400mb for several days makes the app nearly worthless. Not sure of the perfect conditions needed but only works when it wants to and often not for long. The features are nice but poor execution.

Give an option to notify the assigned team member when issuing a action item or punch list.
Example: provide a check box at the bottom to give an option to send automatic notification of new action item to assigned team member

Decent but needs improvement
Character limit is a terrible concept on this app. Instead of having to make 10 different notes, why don’t you take away the character limit so we can make our notes detailed. I have to upload the note onto my computer before I can add more text to notes that were capped on the character limit on my phone.
Also, there is a picture cap for notes which makes no sense.
This app is not made for people that like detailed notes.

Feature requests:
1. Multiple image upload from phone album
2. Multi-image shooting from phone camera.
3. Phone annotation and editing
4. Image rotation and cropping.
5. Brightness/contrast adjust
6. Touch and hold gesture with preloaded custom annotation dropdown.

Flakier than a Croissant
Used this app fairly effectively in a warranty walk through last week. The project didn't have a spatial index, but the app allowed me to create space names on the fly, and I could fill save the remarks and edit them later in Tasks. It did crash a lot, like I was going too fast for it, especially when trying to import/take a picture.
I just had to wait to reach a secure WiFi network to upload everything. That' swine it decided it only liked some of my items. Through a long, tedious trial and error process, I discovered that it liked some room names and not others. I couldn't find a rationale about which ones it did or didn't like, but once I changed them, it was able to upload the rest, though again, it crashed often.

Good concept but crashes
All the new apps crash when trying to log in from iPad or iphone. Not ready for use.
