NewQuake: Earthquake Tracker

NewQuake now runs on iPad. Press and hold anywhere on the Map to view underground. A vertical slice through the crust opens at that point, with the mapped faults, the sinking plate at its modelled thickness, and the earthquakes that sit on the cut. Expand it full screen, or turn it to the perpendicular cut through the same place. The Depth picture on an event page now replays the P and S waves leaving the hypocenter, and turns the same way. Share an earthquake from its event page. Anyone who has NewQuake opens the same event. The weekly map tour flies last week's Notable quakes rather than a fixed magnitude floor, and the feed loads faster and holds less memory.
