NewQuake: Earthquake Tracker

Watch each quake unfold. Replay the P and S seismic waves spreading from the epicenter across the globe and the detail map, with ShakeMap shading where shaking was strongest. New Historical Quakes browser on the Map tab: the great and giant earthquakes of the past, plotted and replayable. A new satellite look for the Map tab and event backdrops, with active faults near each event and richer detail for major quakes - released energy, fault type, felt reports, JMA shindo for Japan, and a rupture map. Track multiple locations alongside GPS, each with its own alert range and magnitude threshold, and a new Settings summary showing exactly what you are covered for. Smarter alerts: a real-time connection delivers qualifying events sooner, alerts follow escalations, tsunami all-clears tell you when the danger passes, and an Alert Delivery status in Settings confirms notifications are working. Search the Recent feed, where notable quakes stay pinned to the top with the real event type - earthquake, quarry blast, or explosion - right in the feed. A new Glossary in Settings and on every event page explains the technical terms in plain language, and the Home Screen widget now follows the app appearance setting.
