Works Very Well

It started as expected being a little clunky but now it’s great. Thanks for all your hard work and this city is so fortunate to have a GREAT NEWSPAPER. Keep up the good work.

It’s good to have a local paper

I began subscribing to the News Gazette when I lived in Albuquerque. We had decided to move to Urbana and I wanted to become familiar with the area. Millie Otto’s column is sweet, though I wonder if she’s getting tired of writing it. I’ve always wondered why local news spends so much coverage on sports and so little on the arts. The Mailbag is a favorite of mine. I hope all the high school reporting turns the youngsters into regular consumers of the news. The editorial slant is conservative but the letters to the editor provide some balance. Generally, I believe it’s a good newspaper.
