I only read it because it’s free with my optimum service. Newsday spins the facts to lend support to its political leanings, and has now deleted the ability to make comments in the top stories area where many people would express their thoughts and opinions on many topics trending in the news headlines. This is no doubt because some of these expressed views are not in agreement with Newsday’s political agenda,... that’s called censorship. Which is the last thing a newspaper should be promoting. This App Never Improves
It just gets more annoying. An example… why, each morning, does the app insist on reloading to the current day’s paper rather than keeping the edition I was in the middle of reading?!
Solving problems
I read articles but when I connect to the links inside the article, Newsday ad pops up and tells me I have to subscribe and then doesn’t let me log in. I am already logged into the app when this happens. I called Newsday support- not helpful ; tried to report problem to developer through the Apple App Store- no place to report just a page of suggestions on general problems - not the one I’m having. Today I wanted to see the lead pipe map link inside the lead article, and got the pop up ad to subscribe. I’m in the app which I pay for every month and should have access to the links and information. I also could not write a letter to the Editor- same pop up problem.

High School Scores
The high school scores are not available on the app. Have to log onto the website to access them. What is the point?

The new update with dark mode and added weather+radar is amazing! Makes a good app better, more functional, and easier to navigate.

Local to Long Island
If you’re interested, know what’s happening in your neighborhood in your town on Long Island this is the best place to get it. It also contains a lot of good local food, business and opinion. I support Newday. It’s our hometown newspaper.
Newsday lost its way and reader
Your reporting is bias in almost every section. It’s also obvious that most of your writers are not islanders. I don’t read your paper any more. I instead only scan for articles that may affect my business. It’s a shame. It was at one time a gold standard.

It’s a commie rag. The only value is reading the sports page.

Reliable source for news
I’ve been reading Newsday every morning for 40 years. Your coverage of current events and daily news, especially national and international is, in my opinion accurate, with details that allow me, the reader to have insight to facts. In today’s political climate, accurate information is vital, if I am to conduct an intelligent discussion with someone. As I read the articles; I’m impressed by how Newsday explains how government functions. Opinion is left for the editorial pages & I’m fine with that. Please continue accurate, in depth analysis of current events. For many of us, accurate information helps us to continue learning. Newsday has an opportunity & responsibly to educate the reader. Thank you

Your Newsday website is a Failed business model
I would give you zero stars but it’s not an option. You’re business model does not work - you’re not The NY Times - ALL articles should be free and then with more eyeballs, you’ll get the advertisers to buy banners and have links. You’re business model is limited and the results are terrible. For example, The NY Post is free and completely trounces you in visits, eyeballs, advertising revenue and overall usage and satisfaction…. Newsday: you’re wrong and continue to stay wrong. At some point profits have to be made or your business goes out of business. Don’t tell me that you weren’t warned. Time will tell.

App works fine but…. Storage???
App works fine. Can access the paper and articles just fine. But the app size says it’s 126 MB and it’s taking up over 2 GB on my iPhone and there’s no option to clear data anywhere in the app and it continues to grow. I’m going to have to delete it at this point as it’s taking up too much space
Poor app
This app tries to take over your whole phone. They try to push videos on users. Many times I will try to browse apps while listening to the radio. The Newsday app does not allow that. The audio is shut down by y to his app. Makes me look at Newsday less than I would otherwise.
